You'll be able to run it easily.  I have even less that the previous poster and mine runs fine.

LOL because this game isnt optimized for nothing, its a legit question.

Technically no you wont be able to run on MAX settings, that would include Ambient Occlusion, Double Frame Buffer, and max AA.

That will give you some slow downs more then likely, but you don't really need any of that. and you can for sure run it fine.

I have a better system than you and while the game ran ok with everything turned down, including the resolution, it was an awful sight indeed. Blocky is a good way to describe it. I got about 20-30 fps depending on where I was and it had spike drops every now and then.

So, I suppose that it's either that you are ok with those things or this game doesn't run very consistently on various systems.

And what OS is this all running on.  I have a funny feeling that OS type might be the difference between some of those that run it great on lower hardware, and some that can't running on far superior hardware.

Yes that should be able to run it, however be aware that FFXIV Does not support SLI, or CrossFire, Often gives DX10 errors when alt +tab from full screen, and at max graphics even I lag a lot in this game for some reason which is weird as I can run any other game at Max without any problem even 2010 games. I do not think FFXIV was fully ready for release the game play is not that great, and could be a lot better, don't get me wrong the game is okay, but the UI needs fixing, but the down side is the Crafting system takes longer to mine and harvest than wow, or aion, also there is no crafting list in FFXIV which makes the play even more hard.

You'll be fine as long as you don't turn on Ambient Occlusion.

If you have everything at max settings and turn on Ambient Occlusion you'll get choppiness from that machine.

You are prolly gonna get flamed now regarding FFXIV not being a pushover. I feel they missed a lot of minor things that could have made the release much better at all... But yah, oh well.. live and learn. Hope it gets better as it goes on. I may check it out again in 6 months to a year
