Neverwinter Nights win this one for me. Kind of sad we haven't had a good one since those days. So many games I see now and think to myself, "I really wish I could play this with a friend." cause it just seems so ripe for team-play.
Torchlight is a great example. I know they are doing something with it but damn, how do you release a game like that without multiplayer? lol
A newer RPG that screams for online multiplayer ( it has LAN ) is Drakensang: The Dark Eye.
Also, Sacred 2 has good online multiplayer.

I found Titan Quest to be alot of fun co-op.
Similar vain to Diablo but atleast it's newer and had some sweet visuals. I suppose it isn't an rpg per se, bit to much action.
