VZ on the end of my name?

I played for about a month at launch and havent played since. I want to resub, but I cannot rememeber any of my login information. Also, on the live status my character, onstar, is named onstarVZ and it shows that I have no gear. What does the VZ mean?

    it could be because there were server merges? i don't know sorry my only guess though

    Hi there!

    Yeah I also returned some days ago...last time I played was at launch. My name doesnt have a "VZ" after it but  a "PR". Its a real shame since I had a character named "Satan" (I guess that a pretty populair name in Aion as Asmodian race). Well now his name was "SatanPR"...ehhh not quite as cool anymore is it?image

    Well I dont really care much...BUT...I think its pretty bad that they can steal ur nick name. I pre-ordered the game and had collectors editions and stuff...u may think that might be worth atleast keeping ur name.

    But as the guy above said I guess it can be because of server merges. If the guy that now have the name Satan was first on his server with the name and he was active during the merge to my server ...then I guess its pretty fair after all that he gets the name.

    Well..well..no biggie, there a ziiillions of name to choose from Im sure u will come up with a good one!image

    Yep it was because of the server merges. the two letters are the initials of your previous realm.

    if you check your bag you shud have a free name change ticket ( been about 2-3 months since i played )

    You use to be able to appeal if someone had your old nickname, but I think there was a time limit on that

    When they server mergers happened they changed everyones name, so everyone had to regrab names the very next day. Then there was a 2 or 3 week period in which you could dispute names. They did this so that the most active current players would essentially get priority. So VZ stands for Vaizel where you came from originally which is still the name of that server after the merge. Pretty balanced server really. It is a good place to be.
