Question about Cataclysm

barrydbarryd Member UncommonPosts: 10

Ok, here's my question:

If I have just the base game, yet I want to play with the two new races in Cataclysm, do I need to purchase TBC and WOTLK too? Or does simply buying Cataclysm allow me to start a new goblin.worgen character?

fwiw, i never bought the expansions because i always got burnt out before i reached the levels requiring that content. I also didn't care about being a belf or a space goat.

If I do have to buy the expansions now I hope they will finally lower the price of them. I think they're still charging $30 for just TBC. wut?

thanks.

Well, that is a good question.

Please Note: World Of Warcraft: Cataclysm requires World Of Warcraft, The Burning Crusade and Wrath Of The Lich King to play

This is taken from the listing for Cataclysm in www.play.com , so I suppose it does require both expansions.

As for the price, in the same site I see TBC sold for 10 €, not 30. And the battlechest that has both main ame and TBC sold for 19 €. WOTLK is still high price with 25 €. I would suppose with Cata, they will make some sort of bundle containing both expansions and the main game... at least that is usually the case with mmos.
