I swear, your the biggest whiner on this site. Just seems like everything bothers you and nothing is good enough for you. Maybe you need to find another hobby cause apparently no game is good enough for you.

Ah, so you don't like someone being critical of development houses putting out lots of mediocre games? You don't find most of these new games shallow and boring?  There are some decent games coming up.  Rift and Guild Wars II look very promising, TERA could be, SWTOR could be, but the present games in the genre are sorely lacking atm imo.

You know when you accept mediocrity as the standard, you end up with it as the norm.

And when you slap away everything offered to feed you, eventually you'll starve. So what your point? I'd rather have a sea of mediocrity than no sea at all.

I don't see where you see Vindictus as being mediocre. Vindictus has flaws, of course, but IMO it's the best F2P out on the market and given time when more content is released more people will see that. We are getting the game extremely early since the game isn't even done in Korea but I am willing to wait and support it cause I prefer where it's going as far as online games go.

It cuts out all the BS and breaks down a normal MMO into the most exciting parts with a great combat system. No need to waste time and run 20 mins to your quest location anymore, just go and kick ***. Want to fight a raid boss? Hop on a boat and get him, no crap of going through a 2 hour dungeon to get to him, just select his mission and go kill him.

For all intents and purposes, the game can be considered to come rather close to "forced grouping". But I would also submit that  the grouping is largely painless, very well faciliated, and there's no holy-trinity to foul things up.

Another thing that makes Vindictus a breath of freash air is that they have indeed scraped the holy-trinity of tank-spank(dps)-heal. You don't have to wait arround for a healer or tank. Four Lann (dps) can easily destroy every dungeon in the game now or in the future.

So to Otakun's point, why are you here?

His point was not about the quality of games in the genre, but rather your non-stop whining.

If all the MMO genre games are mediocre TO YOU, then you should move on to something else and quit stalking these forums. It surely isnt any fun to you and can hardly be considered mediocre to continually prowl these forums spewing negativity for a genre you belive has nothing good to offer. Others are probably enjoying the games they are playing and dont see them as mediocre at all.

Gaming since Avalon Hill was making board games.

Played SWG, EVE, Fallen Earth, LOTRO, Rift, Vanguard, WoW, SWTOR, TSW, Tera
Tried Aoc, Aion, EQII, RoM, Vindictus, Darkfail, DDO, GW, PotBS

Yes, if it's in small moderation. No, if it means hundreds and hundreds of hours of "Raiding", after you have hit highest level ingame to get the best the game has to offer.

Then you wait till the next Expansion, while mindlessly and uselessly grinding for Cash, Mats and Faction for months...

I avoid any game that forces me to play with groups,  MMORPG != Forced to Group.

I love how you generalize with your statement.  You point out upcoming games that all have some form of payment required of you.  To me, F2P games are in a different area and usually have lower production values, but overall, Vindictus has relatively high production values.  Although, the gameplay and skills may need a bit more variation.

The only thing I accept is that games in this age are a constant WIP and because of the increasing complexity of them, they require more testing.
