I had a thought about this adter reading the interview with some dude from Bungie about a possible 'Persistant Halo World'

Now CCP have got Dust coming out, they already have a pretty good Space combat game, Now IMAGINE THIS....

 

 

EvE and Dust with Halo Skin and Assets? it would have to be a sure fire winner. ok the PI would need some serious tweaking and you would have two sides in this, Humans and Covenant with the Flood as Mutual enemies. Fly you kick ass 'Pillar of Autumn' to a Planet and drop off your Marine Companies.

Then switch to 1st Person Shooter/RPG and fight for the planet, do Both, just be a Grunt or Space Navy dude and away you go.

and wouldn't this mmo be Xbox exclusive only.

They were developing an MMO in the halo world, it had a very very similar interface to WoW. It was eventually canceled. I can't dig up the name, Halo Universe or something? SOMEONE knows what I'm talking about.

Doing Halo like WoW would be like doing Space Marines 40k as WoW

For starters there is no halo style armour in the eve background stories.

There are no aliens to fight against.

And no there are no evil A.I. to fight on land.

 

Also halo was not very good

And the community to halo will be a big turn off.

Also Zero Punctuation has reviewed Halo reach and i agree the space fight was pretty awsomwe as space flight games like Wing commander and Freespace are a dying classic.

 

Apart from the space fight and the jetpack level this game is like the others [excluding 1 and 2], and that is Average and in some ways behind the times.

I don't get into FPS games so my knowledge of Halo is pretty limited, I'm not a huge pvp player so equally I haven't played much EVE either what I'm wondering is what do these two games have to do with each other if anything.  Reading the original post it becomes quite obvious a few lines in if you haven't played those games the guy may as well be speaking Greek (absolutely no offense meant to op).  Anyone that can clue me in in a way that a newbie can understand?

the game EvE and Halo have exactly 1% thats the same [and thats that they are both sci-fi.
