What upcoming MMOs are you interested in?

2. Star Wars: The Old Republic

3. Guild Wars 2

4. The Secret World

5. Earthrise

    The only ones I'm interested enough in to buy at launch are

    Guild Wars 2 and

    Star Wars The Old Republic

    Of those, I'm only interested in playing GW2 long-term.

    Well, I think I'm slightly interested in Perpetuum, Dawntide and Xsyon. I wont' buy any of these at launch however.

    Earthrise, Perpetuum, Guild Wars 2, Old Republic. I've already tested Perpetuum and it's core mechanics are solid.

    I haven't been able to sink my teeth propely into an MMO for a couple of years now so i'll either try out or keep an eye on the reviews for everything as they appear, as long as they have some form of PvP.

    I'm not even saying this to troll but literally none, at least for the next 6 months or so from everything I've read/seen.

     

    The last year or so up through the near future has been the biggest slow spot/lack of interest in new MMOs that I think I've ever been in.

    In order of most wanted first

    1. World Of Darkness

    2. Guildwars 2

    and thats it.

     

    W.O.D  - because its CCp and a horror MMO.

     

    Guildwars 2 - For its combat system.

    Maybe Rift. It looks like it has a lot in common with WoW (really a lot). But if it is well done, I might give it a try anyway. Apart from that: none.

    Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)

    Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)

    I aree with the fellow above, Rift does look a lot like WOW but it and SWTOR are the two I may take a look at. Not real excited about SWTOR but im hopeful and Rift does have some interesting ideas.

    WOW isnt great because it has 12 million players. WOW has 12 million players because its great.

    1- Guild Wars 2 (buy to play, then free forever)

    2- Forsaken World (F2P with micro transaction).

    There are a lot of amazing games coming out such as TERA, RIFT, Blade and Sould, etc.... but im not a monthly P2P kind of dude, so ill never put my hands on them.

    What's the point of getting excited about upcoming new AAA releases? I am not looking forward to being disappointed. I am, however, looking forward to all the gnashing of teeth and stamping of feet from self deceived players (ala FFIV) .

    Ok. that's rather cynical. I guess I am looking forward to WoD and maybe GW2.

    It's actually a pretty exciting time for upcoming MMO's with so many worth looking at.

    SWTOR:  I'm a geek, this will be a definite preorder.

    GuildWars2: As long as I can demo it first, i'll preorder.

    Rift:  Interesting ideas here, but i'm not completely sold.  As long as it comes out before the first two on my list, I might give it a try.

    TSW:  A long way from release, but it really looks to offer something different.  Yes, the dev scares me, but i'm hoping they've learned some lessons from past/current mistakes.

    1. Star Wars: The Old Republic (Bioware has simply made some amazing games).

    2. Guild Wars 2: I really like the graphics / dynamic events but my response is tempered by having played GW1.

    Technically, WoD  and Project Copernicus or Mercury or whatever the fuck it will end up being from Schilling/McFarlane/Salvatore as well but those  games are so so far out that I'm not paying them much heed right now.

    1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.

    2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.

    3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.
