In a game like WoW starting over and nonthing. How long does it take to get a max toon? Less than a week?
If you have no live than yes, even with recruit a friend + the heirloom xp bonus you need over 1day playtime to 60 -24h and youre still 20lvl to go and those are way slower
Its irrelavant anyway, why would you rush to max lvl if you bother to start over?
Still does not sound like something thats hard to do at all. This is not a mmo where you spend years developing your one character so starting over is nonthing. Thats why most everyday WoW players have a few top level toons. Who said anything about rushing?
Well I'm intending to completely reroll with a Goblin main when Cata launches so naturally if they did this it wouldn't bother me at all. I actually have more interest in experiencing the new low level content at the appropriate level than the new 80-85 content.

It was implied in your question. Normally it takes more than a month.
To max lvl casually takes ~7 days playtime = 7*24= 168 Hours , with a playtime of lets say
21 Hours per Week (3h per day) that makes 8 Weeks = 2Months til max lvl
If you aim for high rated arena thats quite a loss in points
Actually I would prefer that, I was planning on starting over anyways. I have 6 80s across 4 servers and A lot more characters between 22-76 range. (excessive alt making syndrome) I got kind of overwhelmed with so many characters and didn`t know which one to stick with so I`m just going forget about them and restart anew on a server and only have 10 characters max. I could care less about the achievments and pets.
I voted yes mostly since I haven't played in a long time and if I were to come back (which is a maybe), it would only be on a new server if they have them.
If I still played and I was vested in my current characters, most likely no.
No been there, done that twice cause of the limited professions you can have. So no way of coming back, since Activision took and Ghostcrawler took over, game has gone downhill.
Tough I'm sure we'll be hereing lots of hype about new subsriber numbers, till they're dropping off again. Only 5 new zones is also not much for a whole expansion...
We need a MMORPG Cataclysm asap, finish the dark age of MMORPGS now!

the changes WoW has made to classes are extremely good, and the Worgen area 1-10 is extremely fun. Would I start over? Depends how mindnumbing it gets later on.
This is just a hypothecial poll, as i'm just curious. But if Blizzard was to announce that due to the way the revamp zones worked we had to wipe all of our character databases and the player populations was to start over. Would you do it all over again with the new content?
Please don't come back with this is not going to happen or theres no way that would cause that to happen. It's a hypothecial poll. There is also no middle ground here (as that tends to have people stating i don't want an extreme), you have to either stay and level up or quit (not in reality of course)
Having been tought the rule of even numbers, this is how i see starting over.

If your character and their deeds were wiped like they never even existed, would Cata even come to pass? I mean Deathwing is only rasing his fugly mug because we bitch-slapped his kids Blackwing and Onyxia around so much.
But for me I'll be starting over on a new server anyway with my worgen druid Fleebag.
No I think he was pissed off before that happened.
I would, Im doing a worgen to see all the new lands and I might take my hunter through the reworked low level zone after I hit 85.
Hold on Snow Leopard, imma let you finish, but Windows had one of the best operating systems of all time.

Whatever Blizzard thinks is good is good. This would never happen though because of achievements and people actually having many 80s.
No, because i don't play WoW

Well I am planning to make a new char to see the reworked world any way so, sure I would start over.

Probably going to start over anyway so .... yeap! Go go Sunwalkers!!!
No, too many other cheaper options
They wont do it. Come on, this is such a stupid idea most developers will spot the bad idea immediately.
I'm no Blizzard fan, but they arent stupid.
Yeah, I would start all over again, its going to be interesting to explore all rewamp that blizz is doing.

Yes, definitely. I enjoy rerolling new classes anyways, so it would be same old, same old for my playing habits.
It was a hypothetical question. Calm down there Sparky.
Sure, why not. New starting zones, races, race/class combinations and changed areas.

Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)
