Politics in Mortal Online

I'm a fairly apolitical person in real life (and in most games I play), but I've been reading one of the more recent political threads, called "Ancient History, on the official forums, with both interest and amusement.

It starts with Nidhogg posting some old IRC chatlogs, and goes from there.  It's really interesting how people remember things, and how the whole picture gets pieced together with points, counterpoints, facts, fictions, and everything else spilling out in a "spirited" debate.  It actually is the "history" of the server - and of course, history is often colored by perspective.
