Nearly everytime I see a staff article on here about STOR questions are raised about the gameplay. How much do you need to read beofre it makes you cautious? I would not buy any MMO before launch anyway, STOR will be no exception to that rule.
From what i've seen of the 15 min demo i got at pax, gameplay itself seems okay. About what i'd expect from an MMo, how it is other then that i can't say. I'm not worried about gameplay though.

what does insulting someone's political views have to do with this? Its funny how liberals and democrats want people to accept thier beleifs but they wont let conservatives have any without insulting them, such a typical thing to say.
On topic, after reading his blog fully, this guy is either one, a blizzard employee or two truly an EA employee who just severaly breached his confidentiality agreement and will soon face legal problems. Normally stuff like this can get you jail time, if they feel like proving a point.
Or 3....some idiot that read about most of the internal stuff concerning Mythic, and BSed the rest,
I believe it is 3.
to me, and I could be wrong, its known to happen now and again, its to articulate and planned, to much effort went into that blog just to be some asshole that got his hands on some insider information. However if you have watched the new wall street, it could be one of those pebble in the pond thing they made such a big deal, someone starts a rumor that they try to make viral. I still think either way, truth or not it will be swept under the rug, this douche bag will still face legal charges if EA feels like making an example out of him for slandering and defemation, I am no lawyer but voicing ones opinion is one thing name dropping like he did on the internet is another all together.
I can well believe several hundred million is being spent on the game. The only way to judge the game is once it has been released several months, any bashing or praising beforehand is just pure speculation. Bioware has a good track record, so I've faith it'll be at least an okay game and that would be enough for me to buy it pre-release. I'm done getting collector's editions though, those usually end up a complete waste of money.
Guy sound believable, but u cant be 100% sure - he didnt said anything what wasn't more or less known about mythic and war, I just hope he is wrong about SWTOR, but i have mine concerns. SWTOR is still work in progress, but still havent seen anything to get me realy thrilled about the game and i'm SW fan, i dont know, something is missing.
Their effort put into voice acting will probably mostly be appreciated by english native speakers, for myself (and many others without perfect knowledge of english) I couldn't care less - I have no doubt i will need to read dialogs to fully understand what npcs are saying .
Only people who never played seriouslycould think that voice over/cinematics/story telling are the core game play of MMO's.
For once and for all: they are NOT.
What a strange thing to say. For me there is no single element which constitutes the 'core pame play' of an mmo or any game, but the story most certainly is one element even if it's just by means of the scenery and environment.
Also $300m ? That's 3x what was previously estimated, if that figure is even remotely correct this game needs to be giving blow jobs in down times.

Shoot... the description of the EA corporate culture sounds bad; but actually it's not the first time I read such a thing about EA internals nor about game company internals as well. My brother works in a software company (not games tho), and from his years of tales I hear how much of a diva most programmers and designers are. Unlike the make believe how much like a family they are, most software companies are a man eats man world.
Hard to believe what he tells about SWTOR... wow... $300 million dollars! His opinion isn't too great of TOR. I guess we have to see. Makes me kinda uneasy and afraid, tbh. Yes, there is bitterness and revenge, but he sounds so convinced... *shudders*
If that is true about SWTOR ... the big impact will be that no Triple A MMO will be developed for a LONG time. Hope he is wrong.

How does another guy who alledgedly worked for Mythic back in the day, who tells his own story about internal affairs, confirm what the original poster claimed?
That's a fallacy, there is no connection between the two.
Furthermore, think about what he says: he knows it all and everyone else is bad, BioWare is making a 300 million dollar game with most of it spend on voice acting and George Lucas is panicking...
1) This guy claims to work for Mythic on Warhammer. That team is located in Fairfax, Virginia...
How does he know what goes on in Austin, Texas at the TOR team?
2) George Lucas is panicking about this game... really? George Lucas... That's just ridiculous, I wonder if Lucas even knows about this game, he has never been involved with much of what went on with his IP beyond the films, that's handled by LucasArts.
LucasArts is also closely involved with TOR (they do the voice overs and sound he talks about for example), but they are obviously not in contact with the Warhammer team, so how would that guy know what is going on with LucasArts, let alone that he can look into George Lucas's mind...
The whole blog just screams bullshit.

Everyone can speculate about this disgruntled EA employee about Warhammer's failures but it hasn't been the first

There is some truth to this and I too believe Old Republic will be a failure. If anyone played Warhammer on here

You contradict yourself. You question blog credibility, becouse of anonymity and then you say he would never get job in the industry if they would know who he is ... Well thats probably why blog is anonymous ...
Blog is anonymous because it is bullshit. The guy didn't work for EA. He posted that blog very cleverly, in an attempt to trash this company. It's just like that apb blog huh? You expect me to be so gullable to believe this?
He didn't say anything that the whole TOR community or the mmo genre doesn't already know about. What he said , anybody could have said just out of reading a little bit about both these games or playing one of them.(WAR)
