refering from this guy who posted this pic above, you must be blind or using a rig which is 5-10 years old. no ground texture or no foliage?

and quote me where im saying this game absolutly loving, it is still in a stage with a lot of bugs but it is a matter of time to fix.

a lot of people seems to be very sensitive with first impression by pics, videos or reviews.

I think the problem lies in the fact that "it needs time" has been what some people have been saying for a long time.  It is true that the patch is very new.  The question is, how long are people willing to wait?  How long is acceptable to fix problems?  I don't want to derail the thread though so I won't comment more on that as there are threads already discussing the patch.  No one has denied that the game looks and runs better as far as performance and graphics go.    I should also clarify that I didn't find the ground textures "worse" just not as improved as some of the other elements.

As far as the screenshots you are referring to:  You need to show a before and after of the same spot.   That poster used two different spots.  I bet if I tried hard enough I could find a before and after that make the game look worse. . using different areas of the game.  Again, it is better for sure.

Actually I do have one complaint (sort of) about the optimizations and maybe I just need to play around again.  I am not sure if I love it or hate it.

I used to be able to see the distance with a good level of detail.  Now it looks sort of like a painting.  It is likely just where I was.  I had mixed feelings about it.  I am guessing it was because I was beside a cliff and there was no middleground.  Because of this the background or distant scene seemed to contrast a lot more (detail wise) with the foreground.  I should get back into the game and look around some more though.

Wa min God! Se æx on min heafod is!
