Well this should solve some confusion.

Only personally I noticed that crafting works now way more smoothly and the inventory lag seems to be quite lower. In the last case it is only personal experience so I do not know if it is by other people the same thing

Already made a thread: http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/post/3859857/THIS-is-their-market-fix-LOL.html#3859857
And there's no confusion. They added a band-aid that will not work.
Edit: In regards to the market *fix*.

Well, I'm glad they're doing something with the wards, and I hope what you say about interface and menu lag is true because if it is, that's a huge step in the right direction for me -- the input lag literally ruins the entire game for me. I'll have to check it out.
edit: I don't think the market ward changes will do much. People will continue to use sites like ffxivpro and yg to find what they're looking for. I'll personally never set foot in a market ward again... I'd rather just /shout for what I'm looking to buy or sell.
I know but since the thread started constructive with a lol and was only about the market, I think it would be better to have a neutral one which actually covers the whole update. I guess you sure agree on that
No prob.
The market *fix* was the most important thing for me, and how they handled it was going to be my determining factor on whether there was any real hope of SE really listening to the major complaints of their users. And now we know how well they listen.

I agree on that the market needs to become better but to be fair in the case of expectations they told already some time before how they will change the market to this patch.
At least it works better than the system before.
Not really, for the reasons I stated in the other thread. Maybe as a real short term band-aid, but they better have something else to add to it next update.
Anyway, i'm gonna login and see if I notice less menu lag.

Would be nice since I can tell this far only from my personal impression.
Well, the menu lag seems *slightly* better. Not really parade worthy, but a slight improvement regardless. Someone with a better system may see more of an improvement than me, I suppose.
Also, I just went into the "Battlecraft" ward. Out of 13 retainers already set up, only 4 are carrying primarily weapons ( with a few odds and ends thrown in ), while the rest just threw in a bit of everything but weapons, just as I figured they would.

Ah thank you for the information. Aside of the fact that the market system really needs improvment it proves as well that a lot of people do not read informations.
I mean from a rational point of few it would be better to use a market that fits for your main products.
Well, it's not really from people not reading the information, rather than it's people not caring.
As I said in my thread, there is no penalty for putting whatever you want in your vendor regardless of ward, since you're still only paying the same tax you were before the update. So if you have 10 stacks of items to sell, but they're of different item types, most are not going to just put the one or two items that will fit a particular ward and let the rest of their inventory sit unsellable in the meantime.
And if SE thinks this is a way to profit by basically forcing people to buy more retainers in the future to be able to sell their wares "correctly", that's going to blow up in their face big time.

Maybe rare to say that from my side but I totally agree on this.
Hey man, we may disagree on some things, but we're all just gamers trying to find a way to enjoy a game.

How can you declare that the new market system will not work when there hasn't been anything similar in any other game? I found the way people named their chars in the ward to be helpful enough to find what I need. I think this should make it really easy.
You are tearing apart a system that you don't understand... You can still sell all of your other wares in the different market wards, you just will have to pay a higher tax on the items that don't fit the standards. When people start to become more specialized in a crafting job, which will happen because of crafting guild marks, as well as the time it takes to level them at higher levels, they will have mostly the same type of items.
If you can still sell other items in the wards, then what is the prupose of even bothering to designate different wards?
And as far as saying there has never been a similar system before, have you ever played any Chinese or Korean mmos? Where they have hundreds of vendors all sitting around with signs above their heads describing some of the items they carry?
And for similar systems done the RIGHT way, may I suggest Star Wars Galaxies, Anarchy Online, or Lineage II?
Also, because people specialize, that means they will no longer get any drops of materials they don't use, but are worth money to others? So they're not going to need to sell anything but their own crafts?
The system is still horribly flawed. This does not mean it cannot be fixed, it simply means it is not fixed now.
By the way, I've been gaming for over 20 years. Trust me, I undrstand the system very well.
