There are places you can get US copies of WoW from Blighty. The main problem is whether your credit card will be accepted. I have seen on these forums many brits have taken the chance but can't get around credit card/location problem.

That's why I am still waiting because imagine you buy the game but can't play it, that would suck huge. And my poor budget will not allow me to make such a mistake.

One day all will die, surely you but never I.

i've been hearing dates like around 15th december for final beta then 14th - 20th Jan for retail.

EDIT: Then again I can't see final beta being opened in 3 days time.

then again they wouldnt have the final beta for more than 3 weeks.... it be a waste of time.

What else would they do during that time :P.

I.e the us final beta lasted all of 2 weeks. then it went offline for 1 week then released.

Once they have the new servers in europe installed and workign I would have thought a matter of days to get it running. The beta is just to whet the appetites as they will be runnign the same software that is already running in the US.

Very odd, but I am lookin forwards to it.

Let's not forget the issue are CD creation, shipping, and all the other red tape that goes along with anything like this. There will be very little activity this close to christmas and i fully expect WoW to hit the shelves in Feb. Makes you wonder why they are even bothering with a beta phase if everything is the same as in the US. I bet everyone would prefer to to forget Beta in favour of a full release.

    Painful but true....

ive heard that of lot of europeans that are playing without a problem...the even use their regular credit card and it got accepted. i think they used a fake address in the registration. Am talking about a dudes from spain, i think it should be the same for you Uk people...image

whats up with that? is anybody from europe playing so you can tell us?

I think they should lift the restriccion as soon as the european release comes, it doesnt work, it hurt the community and its stupid. Enough said

Having played mmorpgs for a few years i know from experience that people from around the world and created guilds and stuck together and moved from game to game. Blizzards policy seemed wrong to me on not allowing non US players on there servers.
