What could be the next non-sandbox open pvp game

What could it be? Rift? I can't help but consider that Adam is the producer of Rift, ex-producer of War at Mythic so I hope that he prepares something good for the pvp aspect of the game. What we know for now is that it is going to have warfronts (Rift's instanced battlegrounds) and I am eagerly waiting on what they are planning to do with the open pvp aspect of the game if they do at all. It would be cool IMO that almost noone is going to be identical to you in an open battlefield (hope they deal with FOTM tho).

Maybe GW2? I was very happy in the beginning to hear about the WvWvW feature they are planning to include in the game but it didn't take long until I realised it's only going to be a casual form of pvp with their end game being once again GvG. Don't get me wrong I loved GvG in GW, I just find it a bit odd that such a good feature as the above is actually going to be casual only.

Something else I haven't heard of?

Right now I'm enjoying War and while I haven't played DaoC due to being too young for the MMO genre (I'm 20 now), I know many people in their 30s that told me DaoC was the real deal.

EDIT: Meh, nvm, you said non sandbox.  Way to steal my thunder.

I would imagine it would be GW2.  Least the soonest one coming out anyways. Aion could be a badass PvP game if you could actually freaking level by participating in PvP.

Still a fun game far as PvP goes.  The PvE side of the equation though as severely lacking.  However, it has been quite some time since I played that game so they may have fixed the level gaps or made PvP a lot more feasible to level through.  Game had a lot of potential.  Of course, you could say that about a lot of mmos.

Granted one incredibly annoying feature with that game unlike Warhammer is how long you have to wait until you can PvP.

    1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.

    2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.

    3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.
