Video of JGE playtesting

I came across this video, and wanted to share it with everyone else who has been waiting for years for this game without much word of progress.

Summary that goes with the video:

At the start of the evening, players created characters from the nation they were drafted into:  Solrain and Octavius.  Each nation launched out into their core where they discovered an invasion in progress  in the form of a Event Mission.  The mission was counting down from 30 minutes.  Once the timer expired, the Jumpgates opened and each nation poured through into the PvP Citadel sector.  The Citadel was already in Solrain control so the Solrain players entered and went on the defensive against the attacking Octavius pilots.  Octavius pounded down the blast walls, destroyed the core, and worked their way deeper into the Citadel and eventually arrived in the central chamber.  Octavius made short work here, quickly destroying two of the three required nodes to capture the Citadel.

At this point we asked each nation to switch sides so that everyone could try out offense AND defense.  This time around, the attacking Octavius players faced an uphill battle as they faced a larger group of defenders.  But they were persistent and eventually battled their way forward and captured the Citadel.

That looks pretty different from a lot of the public footage from the past conventions the game has been seen at.  Most of that was open-space, this was inside.

So many fast fades, though, I couldn't really follow what was going on, besides "inside a building" and "lots of shooting".  I wonder if there will still be open-space gameplay.
