The new update 7 adds a few more quality quest for F2P players, in addition, the new items drop is cool as well. Even better than Desert adventure pack and The Red Fens.
With this packs add-on, F2P player moves one more step to Lv 20 easily.
And the new UI and other improvements as well makes this F2P/P2P as much value as possible.
Although it is limited contents, but this game still at its best shape. Very good for casual or frquent players.
Unlike the other F2P mmorpgs on the market only keep trying sell the new item without balance, but I think Turbine delicatedly designed the item for item shop, because there are many pay to play players as well.

I do not think Turbine delicately designed any part of the store. They just released two new races, one is OP and is almost a definate nerf in waiting while the other is about half finished at best. Yet both are for sale in the store.
I think I shouldnt say any thing good for DDO now because the server is overpopulated and it's impossible to login on Friday night. The DDO website and everything related to internet was dead. Turbine really making good money from this old game as well as their poor servers.
DDO always has suffered from service issues. Overpopulated, underpopulated their servers have been pretty bad for years.
I never have any problems playing DDO and play on a really old computer.
The problem I have seen is the pro-SOE crowd on MMORPG. Whats a matter, your crappy EQ getting rocked by ftp? EQ sucks and DDO rules!
I will agree the new races seem OP in one case and half done in another, but it beats EQ1 where melee was gimped and every caster OP.
If you have any questions please ask. I have moved on to WoW from eq and no longer have any desire to play a dead game. Thank you. (posted by another selling his account in EQ1)
Who is talking about EQ? Pro SOE? Did you read any part of this small thread?
If you have no problems with DDO you are very new to the game. DDO has had historically bad lag problems for years in certain places. Most of those in high level stuff you may not have seem yet.
