At around 2:16 there is some artwork of characters in armor that I don't recognize, also one showing a skill. Could this be a teaser to this so called brand new class, or is it just some more sweet armor for a previous class? My best guess is a melee magic user.

Are you refering to the "Blue Mace Lady?" Well in the case of the concept video it is a male but yeah, that profession has been speculated about for a while. We will just have to wait and see. And a word of caution, just because it's concept art doesn't mean it will be in the game.
No, xenophos is refering to the extravagantly drawn characters only seen in the concept art video. I also originally thought that they were new Professions, however after some thinking I don't believe they are. There's really no focus on the weapons in those drawings, or on a particular theme that can related to a potential Profession. My theory is that those are just some potential NPCs, or just costume designs for some acquirable gear.
Oh~ Well that could either be just the Warrior with some cool Ghostly weapons or the new Soldier profession. Let the speculation begin. ^_^
Aye, the speculation is that male version of the BML. Heavy armored profession that uses spirit weapons it looks like. Seems pretty cool if that is what comes to pass.
Oh I love speculation! Let me offer up a few tidbits of me own ^.^
First off, that's not a warrior using a phantom weapon. He's already holding a shield and a mace in his hands, the other mace is being guided by his hand, which makes it more likely to be a spell.
There are two heroes that are warriors, Rytlock and Logan. Logan's abilities have been hidden, however Rytlock has already been shown with a huge firey sword and ranged skills, including the gun, which was mentioned for the warrior class...leading me to believe that Rytlock is the existing warrior class and Logan Thackeray (Gwen's descendant btw...just throwing that out there) is the more magically-inclined Soldier class that has not been revealed yet. I'm also betting it's some off-shoot of the paragon...yanno, armored and shielded, but unlike the paragon, useful
Leading up to that speculation was the mention by a developer in the interview that of the four classes left to reveal, at least one would be completely new, one would be another returning class from gw1 (cough, mesmer, cough), and another would be a class from gw1 that has been revamped and perhaps now goes by a different name. That still leaves the fourth as a big unknown *shrug* but I'm betting the fourth is Dougal, who was mentioned to be a sort of "Indiana Jones-like character", which is something a developer mentioned would be a class in the GW2 game. In the book, he fails at daggers, so I'm betting he's not an assassin.
So by process of elimination, very likely that's the other warrior class, and he's a paladin of some kind Cliche, yes, but ask me if I care? Supposedly at one of the conventions, the second warrior class was mentioned to be more in the role of support melee (banners, shouts, motivations, etc....hence my mention of paragon) and was going to go by a name that was 'sort of hard to pronounce.' Unlike the rest of the info here, that's second-hand, so take it with a grain of salt.
Whee, so exciting.
EDIT: OH YA! Forgot to mention. If you look at one of the most recent video recordings of someone making a character at comic-con, you can see a large shadow, not including the existing ones of the fourth characters. Still speculation, but I do wonder if the next warrior class gets the reveal. Seems sort of out of order, but who knows.

its not ghostly weapons but it could be something else entirely unrelated to class...he could be a possessed warrior for instance. Though that is somewhat unlikely.
oh...and my profile avatar pic :-)...its definitely that.
I used to TL;DR, but then I took a bullet point to the footnote.
You do have have a point there because each of the 5 main hereos seems to represent one of the 8 Professions and Rytlock is obviously a Warrior, which leaves Logan as the "yet to be revealed" Soldier Profession. Which leads to another question, what Professions do all the heroes represent? Someone please complete the list I'm about to make:
Logan Thackeray (Human) - ???
Rytlock Brimstone (Charr) - Warrior
Eir Stegalkin (Norn) - Ranger
Zojja (Asura) - ???
Caithe (Slyvari) - Necromancer
Paladin/Justicar/Inquisitor
All names for the type of theme we seem to be looking at here.
warrior already has the paragon built in with shouts and his warhorn for party support.
the newer class with likly be more of a prot monk/warrior mix
Or a WaMo with access to Ritualist's Spirit Weapons.
Ready for GW2!!!
That's what I thought as well; the blue aura on the ghost-like weapon is identical to ritualist spirit weapons. That'd be one hell of a hybrid of GW1 classes though...
Also, the other conepts characters before him... did anyone notice the class?? kind of ranger, but no bow, wolf themed clothing, thers a guy with a kind of a ghost wolf behind him, and the girl before him was like adjusting her gloves, neither has weapons, maybe some kind of shaman melee fistfighter class?? !
more concept art, the first two guys, are kind of paragon/pally class, and in 0:25 there is like a gunner class
well... im just letting my imagination out a little bit... XD... its just that im too exited about this game.
The first pic there, the one that you are refering to, is concept art for the Dwayna costume.
Neat and...
here at 2:19? :0 kind of assassin/derv class
That guy with the "spirit wolf" behind, loooks like a shaman.
If u pay attention to these concept arts vids, u'll probaly see 4 diferent classes
Assassin
Shaman like (or some spirit class or some hybrid with mesmer )
Gunner
And Some Paladin like class.
Wow, a shaman class would be awesome. I am not familiar with GW1 but I am assuming that was a class that was not in GW1?
And for shaman, I would assume it is similiar to the shaman of Vanguard more so than an elemental shaman from wow.....but we really don't know do we?
Anyway, it will be Warrior (me) and Ranger (wife)........for now!
GW1's ritualist was essentially a shaman, but yeah more like the traditional spirit based shaman than elemental based.
You can see that it is a spell he makes, chains and a hammer coming out and being aimed at something. This will probably be caster/melee tank like a paladin.
Not necessarily. You're forgetting the original GW1 Warrior had party-wide buffs to begin with in the form of shouts and leadership skill sets. They still had a separate buffing/motivation class in the form of the paragon. So while you could be right, I still think it's more likely the next warrior class will be paragon-ish, though it was already mentioned that the new system of buffs/enchants were just going to be condensed into "Boons." Warrior class does get some skills, but I'm still willing to bet they're the 'army' while the next soldier class is going to be the one that leads/guides it.
