My un-biased opinion, it sux

Ok, maybe not so unbiased. I've wasted a lot of money on crap games, ever since the atari 2600. While it never makes me happy, I figure it goes with the territory. I like to be among the initial players of a new game, so I know going in that I might not like it. Never has spending $80 on a game pissed me off so bad.

In theory, there's a couple things that appealed to me. I do like the lack of glowing arrows pointing the way. I do like the lack of an auction house. I found the city areas quite nice to look at. Thats about it

I say theory, because none of it works. Lack of glowing arrows and mini-map dots is fine with me. Having to talk to people several times is not. I havent seen such broken interaction with NPC's since Roma Victor.

No AH I like. Promotes local economies, and opportunities for trading. The market ward was the worst system I have seen in a long time. I have no words to insult it properly. The only people that can defend it obviously havent played the game. Naming the wards will possibly help some, but not nearly enough.

Looking around inside the cities was ok. I found the scenery quite nice. However, what u see right outside the gate seems to exactly what u see everywhere. No change of scenery whatsoever. Ive seen player-created maps in Unreal Tournament with more thought and variety.

I like a craft-based economy. For a certain time tho, say maybe up to lvl 20 or so, there is no reason not to be able to buy some gear from npcs. Even if it is kinda junky compared to crafted. Low-lvl crafted gear will never be very profitable, so the game will lack in it forever.

To sum up, Square - Enix deserves to die a horrible death for this steaming pile of crap. I have been playing games for over 25 years. If too many more games upset me like this one, I may give up games for good

market wards have been named since last patch, ive only been in one and found it much easier to navigate and look for what i wanted

Game is awaiting content, when additonal content is in place the game will paly better

Crafting is complex, all starter gear is available from vendors, or join a LS where its handed out.. as i did but havent taken any as i want to craft it all

yes there are some rubber sstamped maps, but to be fair these areas can only be starter areas.

Think of it as SE have released the training zones, rest is ot come later

If you dont like it fair enough and good luck

I think at PS3 launch it will be much more fleshed out and should do better with console users.  Right now it just isn't a ton of fun with some curiously strange design decisions.
