very fun playstyle. Haven't tried any of the instances but i did explore a lot of metropolis and the watchtower. Both of which are massive. Saw places in the watchtower which provides armor sets to certain player types.
Pret-ty sure the NDA is still in effect. Keep that in mind.....
Anybody gotten a beta invite for the PS3?
really wish they'd reward their long time customers first with beta invites. I've had a SOE account since the first EQ and was a EQ phase 1 tester, a guide in phase 2 and tested pretty much all their other games. You'd think they'd give long time customers first invites. Would be a nice perk.
I've also been a customer of SOE for a long while, a proponent for DCUO and also threw in my preorder that someone gave me for my birthday, yet I haven't received an invite yet either.
Its just the way these things go... with so many people I know getting keys now, its hard to see others get in while you have to wait it out. The best you can do is try and keep busy with other things in the interim.
I've been in a lot of Betas for many of the current and past popular games and I can say that it's always a thrill when you finally receive that key.
However, it's a real nail bitter when you know keys are going out and you haven't received one, especially if you are expecting one.
I know there are times where I've loaded my e-mail hundreds of times in a single day.
You're absolutely right, if you obsess over things like this it can drive you nuts, you just got to keep busy with other things. Sometimes that's really hard to do when you are really excited about something though.
Does anybody know if the beta goes on until close to launch or if it is a week here and a week there.
If they keep to the way they did the beta for SWG and Vanguard they'll do a day here and there to test specific features. Then when they are past that part they'll do a 24/7 testing until the week before the release date of the game.
However, I'm under the impressiont hat DCUO is well beyond that intial testing phase. They're probably already doing 24/7 testing, which is my favorite phase.
Sure would like to get my invite and find out firsthand. (Wouldn't we all?)
