Just a quick note.
I have the AVG Free Edition and it threw up a malware warning when I tried running the installer. I told it to allow the prog to run and everything seems ok.
I believe that AVG is giving a false positive as a precaution and not because there is actually anything nasty there.
If any other Anti Virus progs are doing the same then feel free to post here before we get 'OMG!!! VIRUS GAME. RUN AWAY!!!!' threads.

Your title implies that there is a virus in the download.
There might be one, I havn't patched it up myself yet so we will see what Comodo say about it.
Things like viruses patched in games is rare but it has happened before, no one is perfect.
Happy now. Sheeesh 0.o
Anything constructive to add?
I have karspersky 2010 and it throwed me some mesages about activity same like PDM.DNS QUERY, ALLOWED.
But nothing more, it's fine.
AVG is not bad, but is not good too, it's an average antivirus that throws a lot of false positives from time to time. I have only used it when I clound't afford a paid one.
AVG is just as good as any other virusscanner...
Mostly is the people using the virusscanners that have no clue what they are doing and then setting up the virusscanners in such way that it kills a lot of computer resources and recognises every moscito that tries to install something as a virus.
AVG plays it safe and generates some false positives... Norton and Kaspersky take more time before they upgrade their viusscanners, have less false positives, but recognise new virusses a few days later then AVG...
