Game(s) where you can fly?

Are there ayn games that you can fly, by any means (wings, broom, dragon, blimp, airplane, anything, just player controlled flying), around the world?

and not just barely hover, like you do on luna. :X

Those that I know of are: Flyff, WoW, Luna. Any others?

Pretty sure it's the only that lets you play a dragon and fly around.  Many have dragons though :P.

Aion has it, but it's wacksauce. You can only fly for like 30 seconds, max, before you plummet to the ground.

Dream of Mirror Online (domo) has it, but it's kinda limited since there is tons of invisible walls that funnel you through zones. It's mostly noticeable at the zone edges though.

There was a game called Ace Online which was basically like a Star Fox MMO, but it's been brought down and handed off at least twice now. So I have no idea what it may actually be called these days.

Otherwise, both City of Heroes and Champions Online have it, and it's done fairly well. You have to level up pretty far though, because it's a power you have to acquire, and therefore it would cancel out the other travel options like superspeed or acrobatic jumping.

It used to be level 14 on City of Heroes but i'm pretty sure they lowered it recently. For Champions Online you get your first travel power maybe 5 minutes after you exit the tutorial.

I've seen flying mounts in Vanguard, but I'm not sure if you can do actual combat on those. Not to mention the game is quite dead anyway

An other one where flight is possible is Perfect World. Elfs can fly from level 1, and other races can get wings (swords or whatever they use to mount) and fly as well. Yet again, I don't know if combat can be done when flying...

There are not much that makes it cool but there are a few choices.

Some people mentioned some of them, there are also CBT games that may have flying (War of angles seems to have flying) so better search a bit and see what you like.

There's also DC Universe but it's been delayed until Jan-March sometime.

City of Heroes, Champions Online, soon to be released DC Universe Online.

Vanguard has flying mounts IIRC.

 

And speaking of brooms...DOMO lets you use weapons as floatyboard! So like...Youll be able to use shields,swords, staves, etc to fly!

IF your talking about a tridtional mmo you can get flying mounts in PWI and then there is the fps and tps Battle Field heros and Heros of the sky where you are fighting in the world wars.  You can fly in both but its the primary thing for Heros of the sky its a decent game its been out a few months and its been debugged i think allot.
