    I played ffxi for 6 years hardcore, cleared all end game and had 9 jobs 75 :) I dont think ffxi is the themepark that holds your hand but at least I used a gamepad controller similiar to ps2 one for ffxi and was very easy to play that way. Other games I played and found them easy are: WoW, Aion, LotRO, War, AoC, and also tried the sandbox Ryzom and had no problems controlling my character.

    Thing is, none of those games are camera-angle locked in first/third person view.

     

    Different mechanics designed for a certain "feel" to the game, different controls/UI.
