What makes you think they are polearms?
I think they call them GreatAxes in the game, I'll correct my title.

The long handle with a one sided blade. Looks like a polearm to me.

Majority of them have a blade on both sides. Meh maybe it is just opinion I think of an axe when I look at those pics.
The hand looks too big for an axe imo..looks more like a polearm.

Google Poleaxe, you'll find many images that are similar to these photos. They have a smaller blade on the opposite site, which is not what I'd really see on something that's a two handed axe.

Nice, and unlike the swords do some of them even look useable.
I must say that Teras art is pretty impressive, I hope the game will be fun as well.
Either way, whatever you want to call them it does not change the fact that they look bad ass.

I love the look of the axes. ATM Beserker is my class of choice because of how cool they look.

I called polearms in Aion Axes and guess what they were polearms. It's just a fanatsy game it all depends on game developer what will be called and how will function.
Rather on fantasy of developers. Those shown in this thread are clearly axes. It's closer as the matter of fact to blunt weapons that polearms (which is something they have in fact very little to nothing in common, even visually)
2 handed axes in Lotro look like Polearms too..
I'd have to see a tera avatar holding one of these renderings before I could decide great axe or polearm
but yeah,either way they look cool!

Polearms have longer handle. You can make a few of them into polearms by making them longer of course but a polearm is generally longer than the person swinging it.
You use a very different fighting technique with a polearm (but they demands a lot less strength than an axe).
