LFG with good classes? P2P/F2P

Hey folks,

I am looking for a decent game with good classes. I played many games, but most recently WoW. But somehow the game gets worse with every patch - especially the classes.

There are no offtanks anymore: There are tank-warriors and offensive warriors.

Where are CC classes? Every class can do about the same amount of CC now.

Where are Buffers? Every class has nearly the same amount of buffs!

It's like this: you go into a dungeon and if you haven't got 500 or whatever defense rating you get hit by a 10.000 critical, if you have got 500 defense rating you are hit by a 100 non-crit. What's the sense behind that? Offensive Warriors get nearly the same amount of dmg like rogues and do the same damage. I don't want a warrior to do as much dmg as a rogue! I want him to be half dd, half tank. And I don't want my rogue to do as much dmg as a mage. I want the rogue to be a class that weakens the enemy and has dirty tricks to manipulate them.

Is there a game with good classes you could recommend?

The best ones I've seen are:

- LotrO - Great classes, but I don't like PvP there and the PvE is also not really good.

- Warhammer Online - Good classes, Tanks with 2-Handers can still take a lot of dmg (for example), but I think it will be shut down soon. Also the RvR-Rank-Grinding is horrible.

- Earth Eternal - really liked the class system there. You can choose some abilities of other classes and play hybrids effectively. But it's shut down -.-

 

Can you recommend a game with interesting classes where Hybrids, Crowd-Controllers and Buffers still exist? I don't care if it's F2P or P2P, as long as the F2P-Shops are fair.

You just described cox probably has the most flexability I have ever seen in classes for mmorpgs yea there are like 15 classes maybe more but then you have differant power sets and believe me they are all differant you can even change the colors on most of them now.

 

For example if you wanted to play a support role you could play a defender that can be a straight empath paired with something else and be more healer oriented but if you went dark/dark you have a bit of controls, dots, heals, and a rez, or you could pick a archery/trick arrow defender and do more damage but have lots of control and debuffs.

And you can play heroes or villians archtypes on either side with the going rogue expansion now, so many varietes combinations you can build your characters any way you want, want to be more of an aggresive support character? Play a corrupter they can do more dps then the defender and still have some good support on the side, every class works well in this game you dont always need a healer or cc depending on the players who play there toons.

 

And everything is useful no one ever underestimates the power of controlers or debuffers in this game, the content is much less repetitive now anyways goodluck let me know if you like the game.

You could try champions online to its doing better I am trying it now. Not to bad of a download either espically compared to coh.
