300$ O.O!

I have an unopened box with the game if anyone wants to take advantage of the $300 offer.
Currently bored with MMO's.
With several games either going to f2p or thinking about it anyone who buys a life-time sub to anything thing is just asking to be screwed. It will be interesting to see just how many they sell then this time next year say were adding item shops and going free to play.
MAGA
This game can burn.
A life time subscription to a piece of crap is a life time of wallowing in crap. Cryptic deserves to watch the minimal amount of effort they put into this game fail hard.
I can't express how much I dislike this game and the company that made it.
Anyone considering paying the amount necessary to subscribe to the lifetime of this game, better take a very long time to reconsider. This game is never going to be a success....never.
Hmmmm. Those don't seem like very good perks for 300 bucks. Maybe they should do like LotRO and give some Cryptic bucks every month.
Way too expensive.
Didn't they just announce this game is going FTP?
How can this 'deal' appeal to anyone?
While the perks seem decent $300 is WAY too excessive in cost to content
I'd do half that for the same perks but $300 is them being outta their gourds
Atari is being silly
I bought the lifetime sub when champ first came out for $200 and it's already paid itself off. However I wouldn't recomend buying this $300 sub. I don't think the game is gonna last very long anyways and paying $300 for a few extra benefits is like going to a restraunt and ordering dessert even though your party is stuffed.
Have you taken a look at the Cryptic store? How much of that crap would you actually buy?

"People love groups. Its a fallacy that people want to play solo all the time." - Scott Hartsman, Executive Producer, Rift
My guess, they see people like me now regretting not having bought a lifer LotRO sub, and they think some people will have that same reaction for CO and will buy it to get the (assumed) free points once F2P hits.
I'd pay like.. 29.99 for a lifetime sub to this game. 10x that?
SUCKER!!
wow
what's sad is that people on the forums are eating it up like they've been given the holy grail of deals.
Too expensive for a sub-par MMO with an uncertain future ahead of it.
$300 is too much. I'll probably keep subbing to the game for at least a year, but might have lapses or stop depending on how some new MMOs go. Its just not economical for what amounts to a green forum name.
"Never met a pack of humans that were any different. Look at the idiots that get elected every couple of years. You really consider those guys more mature than us? The only difference between us and them is, when they gank some noobs and take their stuff, the noobs actually die." - Madimorga
That's most likely very true. It just seems that you don't get enough bang for your buck. All you get is a higher tier, a pet, a title, a few extra character slots, and a free sub to a crappy game that's going f2p anyway. So not worth it.
Seriously?
A lifetime sub in general is a bad idea, it's basically telling the developer that you don't care what they do with the game, because you've already given them a large lump of cash. Doing this with a company like cryptic is basically signing away any right you have to complain when the game is well... terrible. It encourages them to try even less.
$300 for CO in general is a huge ripoff anyways. As a previous poster mentioned, $30 would be more realistic.
Sometimes I wonder if Cryptic's execs moonlight as the league of evil, spending their evenings plotting mayhem around the world while they drown kittens.
guess it's time to fund their new mmo. correction, their next 12 mmos.
lol.. hey check us out..
Our mmorpg was originally supposed to be a subscription model game. it basically failed so we are making it F2P to grab more players and fill up our servers. So now here we offer you a lifetime subscription, basically an investment into this wonderful product that we KNOW might not last another year. We are pricing it well above the price of current generation game consoles and even high end video cards because we are confident that our product is far better than the public percieves it to be.
Please invest in our failing game. We cannot garuntee how long the servers will remain up, but I assure you that you are making the right choice!
And with this hair-brained move Atari has utterly convinced me they aren't looking for players, they're literially looking for the proverbial fool to part him from his money....
"Small minds talk about people, average minds talk about events, great minds talk about ideas."
just pointing out that you also get 400 points a month along with every other 'Gold' account.
...but I'll join the general sense of incredulity here; it's way overpriced.
My worry is Cryptic has probably killed the idea of a lifetime subscription for any future game - I love my LotRO lifetime sub; my CO one...not so much.
Well ...
i was trying to find an appropriate and maybe constructive comment,
But, there's only one thing coming to my mind:
LOL!
I cant believe they stoop so low , this kind of commercial greed i really hate .
Sounds logical for the fans still playing it , but stunts like these shows totally no respect for your fan base .
They are just dollar signs in your eyes , man sorry F2P or not aint going to try this one or anything cryptic produce anymore
.
Sorry but this beyond silly , its just plain greed .
And i hope for the people that are still playing they see how much the structure has changed .
$300? Bargain!
I can't even bring myself to waste 1 month sub on it, they're just banking on people being stupid and wasteful.
they've got plenty of suckers over on their forums apparently. oooooh, a green name. ridiculous.
