Well, with Runescape, theres no deciding "HMMMM Wat skills should I train, cuz if I train this, then I cant train that.." Your goal is to get 99 in every stat. Simple (well not *simple*, but no deciding. Do wat you feel like WHEN you feel like it).

but i would not play runescape, after a while it may suck you in...but thats only because of the flashy lights, and there are MUCH better games ( free ) out there

(go to runescape fan sites, and look up stuff on monks, pkers, and other stuff, that will help you choose)

for defence... well there's 3 ways to work defense... 1st way is just casually pumping it with the rest of your stats untill 99, this is good for PvM but bad for PvP... 2nd way is if you're going "pure" (which is bassically the best for PvP, but VERY bad for PvM) in which case you only want a max of about 10... 3rd way (and the way i did it on my characters) is to get 40 so you can use the best F2P armor's (runite)... this is good for both PvM and PvP...

for Strength... well... pump this all you can... this is you're most important stat... the best PvP'ers all have 90+ strength...

for Attack, you WILL need a minimum of 40 even if you're a Pure because it allows you to use the best F2P weapons meaning more damage... you can get more if you like because you're str wont mean sh!t unless you can actually hit them... trying to hit a 70+ def/runite character with only 40 defense is VERY difficult...

although, the best advice i can give you is RUN!!!!... RuneScape is a HORRID game, not worthy of being called an MMORPG... there are tons of better games out there (including the newly F2P Anarchy Online)... RUN!!!

[edit] btw... start learning fishing ASAP... fishing of lobsters and selling them $200 each is a GREAT way to make money and you dont need insane high skills to do it (like mining/smithing which dont become very profitable untill 70's+)... not to mention if you train cooking along side, you will never be at a lack of food which will come in VERY handy if you plan on PvP'ing...

I like to work on mining, atk, defence, and strength. I am lvl 35 strength, 32 atk, 20 def and 35 mining. my cambat lvl is 37 i hav an addy pic and full steel armor. I was also just wondering if ne one of u played could trade better equipment for 2k.
