Been trying champions and I am finding it very repeittive the combat is awesome but all that does is remind me of the awesome combat you see in korean mmorpgs and spam the same 5 through 30 levels.

So far the content is more interesting but regardless of being able to have more choices, I have yet to see choices for what kind of genre missions we want to do and that is dissapointing kind of the point of a super hero is what villians he specializes in.

While it is interesting something is off almost shallow not to mention the graphics are kind of low on particles compred to cox while it looks better and packs more  umph when it hits the mob something just does not connect in the way combat is done.

Anyways that is just my opinion I am out of the tutorial and doing the desert as of right now.

I will keep you updated.

If you haven't read it yet you might enjoy Shamus Young's series over at The Escapist:

It's a 15-part, very amusing Let's Play of Champions Online. He agrees that the combat is fun, but has some sharp observations about the writing...

When I tried CO about the only good aspects I had with it is the way the city/environment felt. It was much 'bigger' than I was, made me feel like I was actually in the city and not just passing through it. I could actually envision my hero on the streets cleaning them up (something i never do feel in CoX unfortunately or for any other MMO for that matter). Oh yeah and the nemesis stuff, awesome concept I wish other games would figure out how to put in. Even in a fantasy MMO setting it would just be cool as hell to have your arch-nemesis minions pop into your raid and mess things up randomly. Just imagine 30-40 bad guys popping into the boss fight at the end of a raid unannounced in WoW.
