Level 50

AmatayAmatay Member Posts: 170

I'm sure there is info on this somewhere, but I am sure there are more people who know the answer instead.

Does EQ2 run a type of Alt. Advancing system like EQ1 does, for those of us who are playing on getting to level 50 before any type of level increasing expansion comes out? I'm hoping there is but I am not sure and I certainly do not want to reach a type of final level because I don't want the great times I have been having to come to any sort of end.

Yes I am a Fanboi. No, I do not care. If enjoying this game makes me a fanboi, then so be it.

Thanks for the help.

I am not sure what you mean. But i belive that EQ II is based on 100 levels. I think you only see spell lists to level 50 becuase they are not gonna be around for awhile. Personally i think that SoE hasnt even wrote most of the zones that we are spose' to be able to go to yet.

I think some people just hit 50.. cause a patch went in today which corrects level 50 content so it's not grey to level 50's.

I know 100% for sure there is a level 50 Provisioner already.  Yes, that's correct. Someone crafted to level 50 already.

OMG thats nuts.. crafting is sooooo boring. I hope he works for Yantis or something selling gold cause there is no way in any life i would craft so hard.

Ahh EQ 1 had scripts to macro most crafts. My enchanter GM'd 5 things over night. Although most dont believe in macro's I do. I played UO when it first came out as well and.. you need to macro if you have a real job. Some people like to play the game and earn your way slowly. that is fine as well. :D

they have already programmed in the ability to go to level 200, right now the cap is set at 50. as far as i know there is not any kind of alternate advanecment like EQ live. but with coming expansions, they should add it, i dont know why they wouldnt add in such a great thing that would completely diversify your character.

People are macroing in EQ2 already.  I heard rumors that "AC Tool" is being used to create these macro's.  Not really sure what that is though.

its easy to macro crafting using third party programs wich i wont name here. As long as it is an repetitive action such as doing the same thing over and over, no matter how advanced, it can EASILY be macroed.

If you think you can macro EQ2 crafting, then, quite simply, you've never tried it. If you think it's boring, again, you probably haven't spent much time doing it.

You can die crafting if you do the wrong thing, and I've seen it happen. You can't set up a macro to craft with the variables that are going on in EQ2 and expect any modicum of success, and you get MORE experience for crafting better items, and if a macro didn't KILL YOU, which I suspect it would, then at the very least it would be a waste of materials as the most efficient way to craft is to sit there and battle the process for each item.

Actually, you're wrong.  I've done a little research on this, but I don't condone it.  Apparently the tools available today to do macroing have the ability to check pixel colors on the screen and react to the results.  This allows someone to create a "reactionary macro" which will execute a particular action based on a particular event on the screen.  Since the icons pop in the same location, it's only a matter of time for someone to monitor that location to determine which icon pop and execute the proper command to counter it's effect.
