Both of these have big advantages and disadvantages.... in it's current state it takes forever to find anything, and like most people I find it rather annoying but something we got to do.
An auction house can create a bad economy with RMT, but makes things a lot simplier to sell and find..
Yet the bazzar makes things a lot more complicated for the RMT side, but also gives players the headaches of having to find whatever they need in the bazzars.
Which would you guys perfer?

This is nonsense. The only difference between auction house/market and private shops is that it gives a headache...to everyone.
Nope you're way wrong sir... RMT's will buy out products then re-sell them for a huge amount, for profit... it's known as working the auctions. I've seen it in all MMO's to date and that's why some don't put AH's in the game and leave it to the players to manage the market... Now say this... if a RMT wanted to buy all the bonechips in the game and re-sell that product for a 65% increase, he will have to go to all the bazzars just to accomplish this... Instead of one small motion in the auction house... Creates huge headache for RMT

thats why market search is the greatest thing of all time... less RMT

Allowing 1 trade per character and day means less RMT! Does it? No, it means lower market activity.
Private shops do not fight RMT, they hinder the market as a whole. Sure, if anyone want to buy all bonechips, he has to go through all shops but so I have to do when I want to get the best price and that is what market is about - price competition.
At the end, privte shops are only annoying for everyone using them. They might look 'cool' but item exchange(market) wise they suck.
The economy fixes itself. If someone buys all bonechips and sells it for more, peoples will fill the AH with more cheaper bonechips with lower price quickly. Those who play the AH usually buy stuff that are underpriced and resell for the average prize.
Even if what you say may be true there are many ways to prevent it, like putting a limit to how much one can buy in a day.
But doing the last thing you advice sure would create a bigger uproars I guess.
I don't get it. If you have a market search function...it's like an AH...except you have to go to each town?
How does that hinder? RMT is all over this game as it is. Crystals and shards are it's primary market.
One of the worst things this game did was put all these things in to hinder RMT but screwed the players.
Drop the next-gen marketing and people will argue if the game itself has merit.
So what's to prevent a RMT'er from using market search and then buying out all the stock? You've just inconvenienced them a little, and everyone else of course. It's not as if this system will give regular players an advantage over RMT'ers, and rest assured RMT'ers are more motivated than you.
Market Wards w/ search can be used just like an AH system, except it's less efficient. It's not like in real life where it would take forever to round up the stuff.

It causes frustration to both ends, but if you're just looking for that new helmet it's not going to be nearkly as bad (if at all) for that RMT who needs 10,000 crystals to control the market.

Well if you have a market with a search function it sort of makes it harder to write a nice nasty computer code that automatically updates the AH let us say every 5 second and instant buys let us say all crystals that you do not sell. by yourself. It is a it like the big money market that use similar systems to instantly buy or sell things. The market system on the otehr hand prevents one single Avatar or several Avatras to instantly buy all things from a product. While you actually need three or 4 bots to control a full AH that way you would tecnically need a way more and more complex ones to make sure that you have the monopole.
