So whole day i am refreshing mmorpg.com page from work. Than i hop in a car and drive quickly home.

... Just to find out 2.nd giveaway was just few minutes after i left work.

Figures. The giveaway had to be exactly in 30 minutes I was AFK.

 

I can just give up now.

There is no way I will get this key anyway.

    You and me both.  And nice that mmorpg.com has so many new, long-term followers within their first 1-10 posts, getting that VIP key.

     

    I guess It's pvp at its finest.  Just an example of why Im not good at pvp, since I didnt get a key, but like the thrill of the chase.

    They don't send it to you. You need to go to http://www.mmorpg.com/giveaways.cfm/offer/240/Private-RIFT-Key-Claim-Page.html to get it if you won yesterday. If that still doesn't work i'd email mikeb@mmorpg.com for help.

    You have to go back to the page you posted in and click the link that then takes you to your key!  They don't email/pm/ect it to you~!

    Ummm you have to go back to the original contest post and click the link they've setup to claim your key, did you do that? :O

    They're giving away Rift keys? Cool.

    Curse is giving out something like 50,000. I guess I get to try it the weekend of Dec. 3rd (though it says [object Window]increased chance of being selected[object Window], so no guarantees)!

    From what I understand those are just keys to say I want in, and does not guarantee admission to the events. These VIP keys DO guarantee admission to all closed beta events.

    Yes. The VIP Beta Key overrides the Beta Invite Key and grants you access to all beta events.

     Those are just keys that give you a chance to be selected for beta.  These were VIP keys, basically meaning that you are guaranteed for each and every beta event.  Big difference!

    I passed on the key's.  I figured it would be best to let someone who is a fan of the game get in so they can give proper beta feedback.  And not someone like me that just wants to try the game out.

    I've been sitting at the computer all day also, spamming f5 like crazy:P me and my girlfriend went out for a 20 min walk to strech our legs and got back like 2 min before the event started, luckely my post was number #13 and her was #28 so we got in :D so finally a lucky break for a change xD

    feel sorry for you though OP, it's ridiculous how fast these keys went...

    To be honest, do you even want a key at this point?

    So many of these keys are being sold and since it only rewards botters or key refreshers, what kind of beta will it be? I can tell you: it will be a lot of people standing around complaining that this is or isn't WOW. You will have to leave chat ASAP to be able to tolerate it. Any questions will be met with direct anger and insults by key holdes who only wanted a preview. This is the CLOSED beta Trion is getting and it will be awful.

    Its sad that this is the state of affairs and honestly I do not think it will be worth it. The community over at the Rift forums was great and friendly. Now it has sunk into the cesspools of people wanting a freeride through a beta - a marketing ploy only after increasing name recognition.

    Honestly, thats a beta I could careless about being a part of.

    The funny thing is that they supposedly are doing this to allow their loyal fans to get in the beta: clearly not the case.

     They did say that forum accounts made before November 1st (or was it October 1st?) would have a built-in advantage for beta.  Never know if they'll essentially get a built in VIP code.  I think these VIP contests/giveaways are to generate new interest in the game.
