I have a jedi on SWG and can't stand it anymore. Everyone has left or is leaving my guild. It sux. SOE screwed us all REAL good. They kept making false promises that they could not keep. CU, Jedi Revamp, questing, bugs, all bullshot. I still have an active account cause I have friends in my guild. That is the only reason at this time.
Can SOE make a comeback? If they did, it would be the BIGGEST comeback of the century!
Now... WoW. That is an amazing game. And I am not saying that because it is new. The questing is solid and the choices are awesome.
My only question would be... Why wasn't SWG like this??? WHY????

The more I play WoW the more I realize how shallow that game is, not to mention the community. Maybe I've played it too much since its release...but then again I played SWG much more when it was new and I still love SWG. To each their own I guess.

You want people new to the game to just come in, sit down and start coding right away? Professional programmer or not you need to know how things interoperate within the game and that takes time to learn. If it didn't there would be no use for comments in .cpp files or whatever raw code type you're using.

More staff? This is good news. I played SWG for six months and enjoyed it for the most part. I had thought about reactivating my account once the combat upgrade was released. Now I will certainly do so. SWG has it faults like any other mmorpg but it has its good points too. I played for six months without "mastering" any single profession. For me that was the key to enjoyment. I didn't grind anything. I just did what was most fun from moment to moment and my character became skilled at what I enjoyed doing. I know it's hard for most achievement gamers to understand but some of us don't feel a need to "win" the game. We just play it
Wow alot of Ex-SWG players must be upset, and it's understandable I'm one myself, I played SWG for month's and liked it alot until the update's were getting ridiculous and big. that was my only problum with the game was that the update's were just to damn big if i had DSL like they want everyone who play's SWG to have it wouldn't be a big deal. I'd come back to SWG if SOE offered an update disc with all the Publish's on it for like $10. I mean why not Micrsoft does it I got XP Service Pack 2 on a disc for FREE. DAoC does it, many MMO's do it.
Why not get a disk with all the update files from anyone here ? I am Austrian, so it might take a while if I send you a few CDs with the files, but if you are American I think I can hook you up with some of my guild buddies. Do you have JTL ? 600 MB of updates included there .. that should save some time downloading.
Too little too late. My accounts run through this summer (the last two of them) and then its done. However I have logged in exactly once in the last 2 months.
