A take on DarkFall

Well I finally bit the bullet and took Taso up on the free trial. Let me start by saying that you can be "viable" staring out, and yes there is a big difference between Vets & Rookies, but that shouldn't stop you, you might not be able to roll with the "big boys" as such, but there is a whole world of stuff out there for you to do.

Grifiers/gankers yes their out there and they always seem to hit you when your just trying to get to the bank. lol it's not quite that bad but..

My best advise would be to let go of any attachments to any of the "stuff", it either wears out or gets stolen, lol.

Naked farming bad idea, why? for one you look like a "gold" farmer and second, no one really wants your crappy noob stuff anyways lol, other then food, arrows & regents. And wearing something while mining may give you a chance maybe getting away or at least let you get a swing in, people respect that.

Crafting you want a crafting game, man this is pretty solid, players make the stuff, ALL mats have a usefullness thru your gamining experiance nothing really becomes redundent as far as mats go and what they make.

Food?, you wanna bake? Food is like one of the most looted items, food is ALWAYS good and all kinds of reicipes.

PvE..you want a really good PvE game, well, the mob AI is amazing, really your best to experaince it. Also they don't have wandering mobs, ohh wait they do their called player characters lol. Ohh and you'll never find a sword on a bear, just leather & meat, but that gob your fighting good chance he'll drop what he's using, ect.

Now an example: A clannie and I were running to a wilderness bank, I was a bit behind, my mate gets to the bank and an Alfar shows up(racial enemy) well he/she proceeds to gift us with a mount each, r50 swords for me a r80 polearm for my buddy & armour. Good thing we were right at the bank cause no more then 2min later a Mahirim with a Human partner shows and ganks us lol, it's funny in that a "red" to you can be cool and a "blue" can be an a**hat.

For anyone making a Dwarf, talk to anyone in the Battle Saints, we'll help take some of the edge off as it were .

Honestly, you have nothing to lose giving the trial a go. Just remember it all breaks or goes away so best try not to get attached to your "stuff" and you can always get more "stuff"

My girlfriend plays this game more than I do and pretty much only gets killed when we go out together but rarely ever dies.

 

Its very easy to avoid PK if you want to. If you lag out suddenly it means that someone is coming so just mount up and get out of there if you do not want a fight. Also, if you get some practice with super jumping it can save your life at times but it is hard to do, especially with any lag.
