lol. I may have said before - after being in beta, I didn't know they only had 10 staff. I'd kinda assumed they were small, but 10! These guys must work 80 hour weeks.

"Never met a pack of humans that were any different. Look at the idiots that get elected every couple of years. You really consider those guys more mature than us? The only difference between us and them is, when they gank some noobs and take their stuff, the noobs actually die." - Madimorga

How come these guys can create a great game whereas a milliondollarinvested company can not?

I'm so broke. I can't even pay attention.

Because they don't have to deal with brown nosers, politics, inane meetings or all other manner of BS big companies have.  ie Bureaucracy!

This ^^ A thousand times this.

For the money they spent on it, Champions Online should have made me weep with joy instead of saying, "Meh". I should have stomped around the house scaring my cat after playing Conan instead of thinking, "Meh". The only other game that's come close to delivering what was promised was Global Agenda...by another smaller developer. I'm sensing a trend here...

I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

lol.  Right?  Really.  These guys are entrepreneurs, regardless.  And those images, if real, are so remarkable as to what an early-stage indie studio looks like, it's very interesting to see.

Nice.  I'm envious of indie entrepreneurs that have what it takes to deliver, knowing that it's always a tough road.

It goes to show that those big million dollar studios are wasting most their cash on OVER-hyping, advertisement, huge wasted salaries on CEO's and managers and other useless crap. Instead of spending it where it needs spending. Namely developing a decent working game that lives up to the expectations they are were promising.

Thank you for those pictures. Haven't got the chance yet to try out the game, but surely will.

This. ^ Adverts, hype and graphics > gameplay

To the op the title is some what misleading. It should go something like this:

"10 Devs produce an astonishing mmo and provide regular dev ingame communiction & service that million dollar companys can not!"

  • majinantmajinant Member UncommonPosts: 418

Love this game. Keep up the good work :)

  • tachgbtachgb Member UncommonPosts: 791

Why would anyone want to bash the developer by the way? Perpetuum seems like a decent sandbox MMO, and I'm seeing nothing but praise on here and over at perpetuum-online.com forums.

This thread brings a smile to my face and i'd defiantly say Prepetuum has been  the best launch this year for a MMORPG and i hope the company and game a bright future.

I agree with what another poster said if you through bureaucracy out the window anything is possible. Geniuses’/Artists or however you want to phrase it do their best work when you just let them go at it instead of trying to force something out of them. Let them do what they want to do. I am not saying don’t provide them with a guideline or anything like that just give them a premise and let them go at it how they want to.

    Well done guys well done.

    PS

The tutorial still needs a little bit of work. It needs more flashing things of what to click when. Not complaining about the game at all just think it could use a little tweaking for new players is all.

    Again well done.

All i can say is...wow. These guys are awesome, and deserve all the fame they can get.  10 people outdid EA, Mythic, Activision-Blizzard, and many other companies in terms of fun.

LOL BoyC - I like the cat with a hat! Gave me a chuckle.

Avatar Creations definitely rocked teh stage. But they need to work hard now and fix bugs, polish the game engine, fis lag issues etc. And start putting together some new stuff so that people can start building their structures.
