I think Dragon Age 2 is set to release in March.  That may have some bearing on when they decide to release ToR.  I would be suprised if two Bioware games were released only a month apart.

They're much more likely to adjust DA2's release around TOR rather than the other way around. TOR is the 500 pound gorilla in the room. They'll decide when the best time is to release TOR then adjust their other games accordingly if they feel they can't release them so close together.

It would be better to launch DA2 first because it is a SPG. Many gamers will be done with multiple play throughs by April if it launches in March. TOR will have a sub, so they may not sell as many DA2 copies after TOR. That is if the SPG BW fans do pick up TOR as expected.

I still like the May release as was said here and other places because of the original SW movie. LA may like that date better. But in the end, it will launch when it is ready. As it should.

I'm thinking they'll want to release it as soon as they can just to get a jump on all the other mmo's that plan a release in 2011. I do get the impression they are closer to release than those other titles. The downside of that of course is if they rush it before it's finished then they could very well fail, as history has shown on more than one occasion. I'm much more concerned about having a finished game rather than an early release. Sure I'd like for it to come out as soon as possible, but not at the cost of releasing it in an unfinished and unpolished state.

they are launching DA2 in march preorder has been confirmed and release date set .

So i have to give the poster after you right , they want to sell the copies of DA2 first before SWTOR hits .

Other side this give pure console player fan of bioware something to sink there teeth into , while they are launching SWTOR.

(since its pc only ) , look Blizzard is the one delaying all there products to not lose players on wow .

So usually there product are released ,in the stale period of raiding . never at a major expansion or a new raid instance.

So basically we shall see what happens to ME2 , since thats slated in june next year .

But basically SWTOR has to be out and shipped before or around may (original star wars launch date)

ME2 has been out for sometime now and ME3 hasn't even been announced as being officially in development yet, but this is the second post I've seen that tries to give it a target for release. I can't think what else you might mean since you already stated that DA2 was slated for March.

Anyway, people keep saying that May is the anniversary of the original Star Wars movie so maybe that's when they're hoping to release TOR. It would make a certain amount of sense.
