Buying a Ps3! Need game suggestions.

So I'm buying a ps3
The bundle is:
160gb Slim, Cars BluRay, Mod Nation Racers, Little Big Planet
I'm also buying:
Bluetooth Headset
Gran Turismo 5
....What other games should I get? Looking to get at least 2 more to get me started, was going to get a racing wheel for gt5 but I figure I should hold off on that and get the most out of the system itself.
I've been considering EVERYTHING, MAG (I played the beta, kind of liked it) - God of War - Demon's Souls - SOCOM - Killzone 2... I'm not sure what to get.
Anyone have anything to suggest? It doesn't have to be JUST from that list, it can pretty much be anything

Uncharted and Uncharted 2 are the best 2 games available for the PS3. Hopefully Uncharted 3 is in the works (supposedly there are rumors that Sony will announce it after the Spike Video Game Awards).
Also, Valkyria Chronicles is a good buy.
I can recommend the MOVE package for you. It comes with a disc that has ping pong, gladiator fights, bow and arrow, bacci, and frizbee. I also have several mini games that were on the PS online options.
Mostly I use my PS3 with my 3dTV to watch movies and play a few 3d games that came free with my Sony Bravia TV.
There are a lot of games in the pipeline for the move coming this year but nothing yet besides the free disc has caught my attention.

Bad Company 2, Madden Franchise, FIFA Franchise... cant raelly go wrong there.... um...... yea
Uncharted or Uncharted 2 were amazing games. The second one being a hell of a lot better. Demons Souls is really fun, if you don't mind the hellish difficulty. 3D Dot Heroes is also very fun if you like the older Zelda style games (nes snes era).

I have a parrtime job which is searching for good ps3 games, let me sum up some of the best!
If you want a deep RPG with multiplayer involvement, definetly get Demons' Soul. its a masterpiece,
If you like hack and slash, and like to play as if you're in a cinematic (with alot of gore and spartan lore
), God of War is a must.
If you like 3rd person shooters, get Uncharted 2, one of the best games of the PS3 overall too, insane graphics.
If you like 1st person shooters, well MAG is for the BIG 256 player battlefields, and killzone is kind of a thing on its own,
If i were you i'd buy Playstation Plus (like 15 euro's for a bunch of months) and you get to play the Killzone 3 Beta, which is quite nice to play and you're helping the company as well ^^
I wouldn't suggest getting Move, because it's still missing on awesome games, but they'll come
And the newer games around, Black Ops, Assassins Creed: Brotherhood, Fallout: new vegas are also fun to play ofcourse

I was going to do that BUT:
The move bundle is $400 and doesn't come with any games (but that move disk)... The hard drive I don't need as EVERYTHING (PC, 360, Xbox, TV) are all setup together.. I don't store media on my consoles, just games/saves/dlc, etc.
The move is.. interesting because I've never truly used motion controls (of this current gen). Problem is not many games support it. I AM looking foward to the new SOCOM and KZ3 (Which I know support it) but they are long ways off... The move bundle is only $99... I can always purchase it later.

Killzone was super fun, socom was great, and warhawk was intense but I'm afraid these 3 games are sort of dying off? What do you guys think?
Also considering MAG, i played the beta (and sold my ps3 right before it came out) ... The game was alright, has it improved any since the beta?
^^ Above poster mentioned that 15 euro for X months deal for betas and the like.. I have no problem paying that as my MMO subs are all out, Can't find anything to satisfy me :P
Deathspank really fun game. Valkyria Chronicles as suggested. You could also try Star Ocean The Last Hope International.Also they have Eternal Sonata on PS 3 now but I played it on the XBox the graphics are lovely in that one.
Wasnt there a PS3 sale that was bundled with all 3 God of Wars?
exactly my reason to get a PS3 too really ^_^, i found that Playstation Plus subscribement worth it for just the AC:B beta alone, but they also give game discounts and other discounts, sometimes free stuff, in the PlayStation Store.
If you're going to buy at least 1 game soon, i suggest you actually pick Uncharted 2, the singleplayer alone is worth the cash and it's also ( or was...) the most played game on playstation network (multiplayer/online that is, savvy?

Uncharted, Uncharted 2, Demon Souls, MAG and Borderlands. Dead Nation just released, Brink,Mass Effect 2, Dead Space 2, Killzone 3, Bullet Storm are all coming soon as well. Also mmo games such as DC Universe and FFXIV will be on the PS3 as well. I'll be tunring in my 360 soon because I play none of Microsofts exclusives and everything else I can play on my pc if I want. I miss that blue-ray too!
Yes, just realized gamestop has that bundle.
Also just realized my bestbuy employee discount gets me nothing off the ps3 as they're sold at a loss..
Now I have to decide if I want god of war or little big planet and modnation racers :P
To the OP i was a dummy and bought the PS3 with hopes of playing FFXIV on it.I sift through the Ps3 games and there is not one game i would play,sad really i wasted money on a console system that i will never use.
Cool thing though,it might one day be 20+ years old,long extinct but my system will have zero hours of gameplay on it and should work like brand new
....possibly one day it might sell to some museum in MINT condiution lol.
Umm sorry had to edit,because i forgot there might be a slim chance i would play Epics Gears of War,i really hate console setups for fps though,maybe if i bought a keyboard and mouse for the PS3 it would actually be useful,other than a future museum piece of course.

In addition to the ones already mentioned, I would like to add Heavenly Sword.
Its a beautiful action RPG with great characters, plot, voice over, everything.
The only downfall is its not very long, you can beat it in 5 hours, so rent it or don't buy it for more than 20$.
I am not a huge console guy but my ps3 has gotten a lot of use recently because of a few games.
Red Dead Redemption- nice multiplayer aspect. Great single player game. Just a lot of real western fun.
NBA2k11 - It is jTHE best basketball game ever made. Hands down. No compare. Play it and you will buy it.
MLB10:The Show- Gaming crack. Create a player and go through the games. Tell me you won't say.."Just one more at bat and I swear I am going to bed."
These three I would seriously recommend. They are spectacular bargains for what you get out of them. Just my two cents of course.
Yea $99 is definitely worth it. Just the initial game disc has tons of hours of gameplay. The gladiator game alone is worth the cash. But I recommend you get 2 of the MOVE controllers instead of just using one, it's a whole lot more fun and when you have 2 people playing you each get one.
There is nothing like holding a shield in your left hand and a sword or axe in your right and beating people to a pulp.
The thing about the Move is it's a lot of one on one stuff so it's infinitely replayable unlike the usual game where you destroy it and it's done.
I forgot to mention that there is a really fun pool game on PSonline that works with and without the move. Pick it up also as it's very fun and the physics are really tight.

I didn't add any sports games, not sure if you liked sports games. All these games minus the Move bundle are 20ish dollars or less online.
I just got the same bundle, I hate shopping at Best Buy but I wanted both games anyway. I could've skipped Cars though
Console gaming isn't for you then.
Sports games are fine but I'm not looking to buy any now (unless its racing or something).. I have madden on the 360 and thats about it.
Just curious why you hate bestbuy? Is it their prices or what?
Definitely getting the bestbuy bundle (LBP, Modnation) as I'm not super interested in God of War. Getting that headset and gt5.
Also 100% buying Demon's Souls... One more game. hmmmmmmmmm.
EDIT: I have enough shooters on the PC, decided to go with Uncharted 2!
Not sure how people could suggest you games if we don't know your personal taste in games.
But could make atleast one suggestion and that's to take a look at http://ps3.gametrailers.com/ and see if there's anything worthwhile for your personal taste or goto http://uk.ps3.ign.com/ or the US version depending where you're from.
