    Yes those are mmos but you played em in a solo form. 

    yup. Is there a problem with that? I spend my 15 dollars how I want to spend and use it. If I want to throw 15 dollars out the window, I can do that too.

    Yes those are mmos but you played em in a solo form.

    I didn't say there was something wrong with that. I just pointed the obvious. You solo in mmos. Fine if you like it.

    Eh, content is no harder yet, but I think pallies and dk's did recieve a slight nerfing...and by slight I mean barely noticeble. Or so some people have said, I don't play one so I don't know. They seem as overpowered as ever to me.

    Aha, well that's not how the game was meant to be played anyway... It probably scales similarly to being level 80 doing level 70+ instances. You have to be several tiers of gear into your level to have an easier time soloing harder content. In the case of levels below 60 you don't really get higher tiers of raid gear so the only real power improvement comes from actual character levels.

    So it looks like they may have ramped up the difficulty of the instances group content a little, which actually goes along with what I have experienced so far. So now I guess you'll either have to level you characters to tackle the same instances or actually play them how they were meant to be played, in a level appropriate and composed group...

    started on us server now and from what i ve seen till now, quests have been a little more difficult

    Still a kid can do them thus it isnt hard AT ALL!

     

    Dungeons were never suposed to be soloed

    I play games for FUN. I play chess/checkers/sports/puzzle games for a challenge.

     

    WoW used to be more like Diablo (like I've mentioned), pwning mobs left right and center...that to me is FUN. But to give you some kudos...some people do like challenge when playing games. But I prefer just playing games for fun and for my spare time. But people have different opinions on what they like, so its all cool.

    WoW is a lot harder since not even my Paladin can solo instances that con green now. Start up WoW, make a paladin, get to where either deadmines or RFC cons green, try to solo it, you probably won't be able to...well unless you use heirlooms, then maybe that would have a different outcome? Not sure, I know heirlooms do make it easier. But none of my characters can get them, my main will in 6 levels though.

    IMHO solo instances that still con green (give exp) are a bad thing.

    because I can't learn the lore of Warcraft (which is some of my favorite lore in games, love Sylvanas and the Undead and Orcs and Tauren and Trolls...very few games let you play as an undead race, Warcraft was first that I know of)...by playing other games. Sure I can read websites, but thats not nearly the same as experiencing the lore first hand. That, and I see the lore change as I play WoW more.

     

    Btw, can I trade, PvP, chat, join player guilds, group if I feel like it and interact with other players in singleplayer games? Nope...well I can chat with people if I play say Oblivion and turn on Xfire...but I can't trade with them, can't PvP, can't interact with anyone at all. 

     

    I do group as well, in WoW its probably 35-40% of the time.

     

    The problem is, I'm deaf, lost my hearing when I was young due to very loud music when I was living at my Uncle and Aunt's place. My parents needed help to raise me since they had money problems back then. And almost all the guilds that raid need vent or teamspeak. So I tend to PvP more since I don't tend to need those. I would group a lot more for raids if I didn't need vent or some voice program.

     

    I remember in EQ I grouped quite a bit and that was doable because I didn't need to worry about my hearing disability, since I didn't need vent or TS...don't think those were even out.

    They took out the portals in Dalaran and Shattrath...now I need to either pay a mage to open a portal, or take hours and hours to get from one major city to another. Okay not hours and hours...but you get my point.

    Hunters got heavily nerfed...they now use something similar to Rogue's energy but renamed to Focus. If I wanted to play a Rogue, I would play a Rogue. I hate energy, its annoying and really limits me to what I can do compared to mana and rage.

    Glyphs are also now insanely expensive, my server glyphs went from an average of 5 gold, to 40+ gold! WTF? Because blizzard changed glyphs, now I can't use them...so lame.

    Leveling is harder too. This is partly due to the mobs being harder...but leveling seems a lot slower. I used to blaze through the game from 1-70...Blizzard ruined that too.

     

    Thanks Blizzard for making this game so hard. (that was sarcasm, btw)

    Hate to break it to you buddy... but WoW's been the easiest MMO on the market since it launched. You can't go down any lower than WoW. And why are you so concerned with soloing instances? It sounds to me like you'd save a lot more money playing Diablo, as that is essentially what WoW is now.

    This may sound cruel but I am INCREDIBLY glad you're quitting. Very, very good news.

     

    For the longest time I had retired WoW because it got to be too easy. With Cata, they promised increased difficulty. Still reluctant, I decided to give it a try..and I"m still not convinced but this is promising a sign.

     

    Please, more post about people quitting due to difficulty. I'd love that. I'd LOVE to see it after Cataclysm hits and people try the new dungeons. It means Blizzard kept their promise. I realize we'll never again have Vanilla or TBC type difficulty but this is a start.

    The game was nerfed, dumb down in order to appease the pvpers who wanted all the classes nerfed to a point that not one class would be considered to be overpowered. IMHO if they wanted to appease the pvpers they should have made seperate rulesets for the servers. Put the PVE players on one server and PVP/Raiders on another server.

    I'm not a pvper and even I know this is patently false.

    i cannot say how easy or how hard was WoW before coz ive never played the official servers (only privates), when i sub for cata ill see...  but if WoW got as hard as you are making me believe with your post then ill tell you this is great news....

    Why would i pay monthly for a game that i blaze from lvl 1 to lvl cap lightning fast (excesively slow sux more than that tho) and then at lvl cap i get tired of pvping and either quit the game or keep paying for doing nothing (im not a pvp dude on mmos but i do pvp to a lvl i try to not get sick of it)....

    Also, about soloing instances.... Why would WoW (and other mmos) have instances with crappy mobs and super huge but crappy bosses and amazing drops if everyone can solo them?  in that case the devs would make regular mobs drop the amazing things so anyone can get them so easy instead of going to an instance... I believe instances are great if they are hard enough to force ppl into a party in order to go through them...

    energy doesnt make rogue a rogue, or focus doesnt make hunter a hunter, thats fine if the bars works different than before as long as they dont need pots or drinks to refill like mana.. plus yeah a hunter with focus instead of mana is definitely better, leave mana for magicians and other casters.

     

    this are just my opinions. Now ill see how hard/easy it is the official when i put my hands on it when cata is released
