This is actually the second time I've restarted FFXI, the first was when I was waiting for POL to decide if they could reset my password or not, due to I had an account exception, and two CC's on file. That restart account never made it passed the first 30 days as they were able to reset my main account, but I got to the mid 20's as a pally with it in that time. I'm planning on taking it a little slower this time.
Ok so, I was finally able to get on and my characters name is Illithia. (i LL i) is the first 4. I realize it looks weird and it confuses me so figured I'd clarify for easier understanding. I'm in Bastok and would love for someone to hollar at me. Looking forward to making new friends and hanging out old school style. :P

Too dirty and the surrounding countryside was far too lacking in... what is the word... life. ;P I live in Arizona and anything more verdant than... the desert is to my liking. San d'Oria always reminds me of a cross between London and Paris. All the french names help of course. Everything with SE did get worked out, hell if I wanted I could call them and get access to my old account, but that account has too much baggage tied to it, that's were my RDM's at, so with this new account I'll go more the way I should have played in the first place.
I was able to re-activate my old account and looks like my old character is still there, I'll have to wait for the game to patch while I'm at work, but if my old character's available I think I'll play it over the new one.
I did the same thing already but I have to wait until the 1st to transfer my character from Unicorn. I'm going to be honest and say that I dont think Titan's population is going to 'hold' players who want to do more than endgame, so I am considering transferring at least one of mine to a higher population realm like cerberus, valfor or asura. I do not want to be 'stuck' on a server where i have to wait days to get one party that isnt endgame. On unicorn and titan there are only about 6k active (considered active) players on the other three mentioned there are well over 15k. Just a little info.
Yea, the game is about 10 yrs old now and with the flop of 14 they are expecting more ppl to return to 11 but if there isnt a huge influx then i dont want to be stuck on a low population realm. the way i see it is: the more ppl the more chances to experience ALL aspects of the game and not just the endgame new stuff. My character will be there on Saturday likely, her name is Morrgainne if you want hang out sometime look me up. I'll be looking for an ls there quickly.
Anyone find a good server for all the returning players? I will be starting from scratch, don't really want to pop back in with my 63 Paladin. You know, if there is enough of us, just pick a server and lets all head there and start an LS. That way, we got people and can do whatever we want/need to do versus just endgame stuff.
We're all playing on Titan, I was able to recover my old character so I'm running around with a 75 RDM 69 DRG and a 62 BLM for my 'high' levels.
Also we have a LS on Titan, deticated to new and returning players with new accounts. The main reasion I brought my old character back was I 1) didn't want to do the chocobo quest again 2) felt that having one 75 in the ls would be a big help with getting things for the lower levels, like level cap quests and such.
I have made the decision to go ahead and transfer my high level char I reactivated to Titan as well. She has many low level jobs open already that I would like to work on so, look for me to be sending you a /tell guys. As far as my new account goes, I am giving it to my daughter so this will be a good thing. Looking forward to seeing yas

Yes unfortunately there is always that annoying tickle in the back of our minds called real life. Same thing happened over Christmas and people freaked. OMG the LS is teh FAIL SAUCE!11 But... then the holiday was over and we had two pages of members on and several LS groups running happily around Vana'diel. All is well with the world, the Lightsday is shining, the Akbabas are chirping, and the Mad Sheep have been downgraded to Mildly Annoyed Sheep. Come, let us take a magic carpet ride because... everyone? It's a Whole New World....!
It is strange. I have heard that the server as a whole is not a high pop server but oddly I have always seen people in all of the major cities running around and the LFG flag list has always been pretty big. However, that was for the end game stuff. That was one of the reasons I chose to do this project was to inject a new lower level life to the server. While the server as a whole maybe quiet I am online right now and we have two pages of members on out grouping so hey, as long as we have each other. As for the drugs thing... nope, never touch the stuff. And I am uncertain what you are getting at with alternative lifestyle. Must be my age. You kids.

I was under the impression titan has a high pop, ya low pop no good special from a 7yr old game. Iam gonna make a toon on the one you just mentioned.
