Yeah. My bet is the servers are getting beat with a fat sailor cock right now though.

Y'kno..the worst part for me is that I was already in the game and got the message to log out to get cataclysm content...now I can't get back in. ;.;
Edit: Also, entering my authenticator over and over again is balls. Seriously need a refresh or something..

I'm sure tech heads will swoop in here to defend Blizzard, but you'd think with all their vast amounts of resources and funding that they could find a way to accommodate such a huge server load. Of course, this is the same company that brings their game down for entire days at a time just to implement a patch or two.
Yup, but it's not entirely unexpected. It seems they always seem to have these sorts of issues after major patches or expansions. I think I'll just go to bed and try again tomorrow.
Blizzard really has no excuse they have the money and the how to too keep this kinda crap from happening they been around a few years should know exactly what too expect and how too set up for it should at least add mirror servers just for influx of freaking people only thing i liked about Warhammers release what they had mirror servers.
Hehe yea i agree but considering the servers only get maxed out once every 2 years, why spend the extra money? :L

Happened on Euro servers, and is happening with American. No surprise really, even though Blizzard knew how popular this would be.
Took me 5 mins to log in cmon people patience is required ... there wasnt even a downtime!!! GOOD WORK BLIZZARD
While there is no downtime it's not much better. The Battle.net servers are overwhelmed making it take forever to login. I would have thought they would have worked with Amazon or someone who tons of resources you can buy on demand for launch day but maybe that's just me.
Are you guys stuck at the account login screen or the game server login screen?
I am such a dumb ass, I logged in and it auto brought up the server and I could have made my new character. Except I changed realms which was a bad idea.
Now I am stuck on "logging into game server" screen for Frostmourne.
If the game doesn't connect in like the first ten seconds to a server and it says "logging into game server", if you just leave it sit there, will it ever connect?
Or would it be better to keep spamming connect to your server over and over?
