EQ2 Down...bad business

My subject line says it all. Downtime this long is just bad business. I'm taking this from an I/T standpoint. If our servers at work went down for this long people would be getting axed. And we only have 1,800 users.

I don't really care that it's down and I can do other things with my time. But I ask myself, isn't this why you have contingency plans? Backup servers? Backup staff? I think SOE needs to rethink their Disaster Recovery Plan. Wonder if they even have one?

    EQ2's back up servers power by Fluffy the mystical hamster, and he just cant run his wheel long enough to supply power :(

    Not suprised at all that SOE has no real DR plan.. I work for a very large IT company and we have no DR plan in place either. It's a virtual plan but nothing concrete.

    I'm really not suprised....

    And we get acclerated xp from now until Tuesday morning.
