Question About LotRO

AgentAnarkiiAgentAnarkii Member UncommonPosts: 173

I used to play LotRO back in 08 and 09, if i were to just resubscribe(pay the regulare $15 a month) instead of being a F2P Player what  would be the advantages/disadvantages?

In addition to access to all content (exluding unparchased expansions) you'll recieve 500 turbine points a month, no gold cap and storage space is more for those who subscribe as well.

I may be missing some goodies but those I think are the biggest things.

but yeah, to call this game Fantastic is like calling Twilight the Godfather of vampire movies....

If you sub you get access to the entire game as normal. Plus you get 500 coins a month to spend in the store. If not you get limited options but I think it is possible to grind for everything in the game you need. I imagine at later levels that turns into hard work. At the early stages though it is relativley easy. You start with 500 coins. Don't spend them on hats or robes save them for important things like traits/riding skill e.t.c e.t.c. You also get store points from finishing slayer deeds. Save them to unlock quest pcks like The Lone lands. It is free though so my advice is get in there and have a look for yourself. If you are not feeling it you don't have to spend any money.

If you re-subscribe, it's the same as it was before F2P, with the exception of ads and store buttons everywhere (they've gotten a lot worse since the last update. Used to be just the one. But now it's on almost everything.)

R.I.P. City of Heroes and my 17 characters there
