I am about to buy a new pc and have all the parts selected but I want some more experienced help or suggestions about the parts.
Case: NZXT M59 - 001BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Mobo: ASRock 870 EXTREME3 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor HDZ965FBGMBOX
HDD: SAMSUNG Spinpoint F4 HD204UI 2TB 5400 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
It all copmes down to $725. I can only go up to $800 for this new machine. Any recommendations for any part? This will be a gaming machine, I hope it stays awesome for games up to 4 or more years. I plan to play GW2 (heavily), RTS games, and perhaps (but very low priority) some shooters.

Nice setup will more than suffice for what you want.
I notice you have no PSU listed do you have one already or is this a oversight.
HD is a 5400 RPM not something I would want for a main drive but fine as a storage drive really want to be looking towards a 7200 minimum no need for 10k raptors or SSD.
Only thing i would be tempted to change is the case NZXT are horrible they really are airflow is so poor in their products they are the kind of crap you see EBAY gamer rigs based on 260's stuffed inside spend that little extra and go for a good gaming brand case such as CM or Antec.
Just 10 bucks more will grab you the small but tidy C haf 912 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119233&cm_re=coolermaster_haf-_-11-119-233-_-Product
20 more for the excellent for lan partys Storm http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119196&cm_re=coolermaster_storm-_-11-119-196-_-Product
If your happy with the case perhaps put that spare cash to an extra 2gb ram just for future proofing.
Thank you for the reply. I left the CPU out because I already have a 550watts antec or aztec (one of those brand names). Its new so no problems there. I also have a decen 19' lcd screen that will work for now. I do plan to upgrade in the future.
I will check the cases, thruthfully I had that one selected because of the nice instant -$20 savings but I can check another one.
Edit: Im sold on the second link for the Cases you suggested. It looks very pretty.
Also I plan on upgrading for more ram later but I think that is enough for some time.
I will have to buy a Windows 7 OS 64 bits. Home Premium
It's not going to be an awesome gaming machine four years from now. But it will still be a passable gaming machine four years from now, if you make some minor tweaks.
I'd go with this combo deal for a processor and motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.564583
It's exactly the same processor as you got. It's definitely a better motherboard brand, and arguably a better motherboard on net. And with the combo deal, it's cheaper, too.
Second, I'd change out the video card for this:

Both are reference 6870s, so this one is physically identical to the one you've got. XFX is generally regarded as a better enthusiast brand, so if you need warranty service, you'd rather have to deal with XFX than MSI. In particular, if you register the card, XFX offers a lifetime warranty, so if it breaks in four years, they'll replace it for you (though they'll replace it by a much newer card that gives about the same performance). And the XFX card is cheaper, too.
A 5400 RPM hard drive is going to be really, really slow. That may cause hitching in some games, but shouldn't otherwise hurt your frame rates. It will make it take a long time for anything to load, though. This will be a lot faster:

Finally, we come to the most glaring problem. Your processor has two memory channels. You've only got one memory module, which means one memory channel will be left vacant. That means you lose half of your memory bandwidth, which will cripple performance in programs that scale well to use all four cores. 4 GB is the right amount to get for a gaming machine, but you should get it as a 2 module kit with 2 GB in each module. Such as this:

That's cheaper, too.
You don't list an optical drive. If you're stealing one from the computer you're replacing, that's fine.
You also don't list your power supply. Find out exactly what power supply you have, including the particular model, and list it here. Antec is a good brand, but you want to make sure you don't fry your system by pushing a power supply beyond its limits.
I did'nt get the link to work on the first case you put on Quiz, it took me to the second one, on either link.
At any rate this is a nice case you turned me on to a while back, just to give the poster something else to look at

I didn't link to any cases in this thread. Regardless, for only $5 more than the basic Antec Three Hundred, you can get the Three Hundred Illusion, which adds two more case fans, as well as blue lights to all of the case fans. The blue lights aren't necessary, but two extra case fans are nice. And then you can get it in a combo deal with the OS:

Oh my bad, no you did'nt. Got Pod killed last night, and my back is out today, giving me a reduced capacity.
Anyway, that a tastee morsel you linked there, nice find.
Wow, just wow. And people have the cojones to say this forums are full of atrols and unfriendly people. Thank you very much for those very much needed suggestions and links. Thank you for the XFX tip too.
Will update my wish list, tomorrow is my ordering day.
My Power Supply is: Antec 500 Basiq
I forgot all about optical drives but will look for one now.
Edit: I already had another HDD with 7200 rpm. Forgot to update it. Looking at combo deals for optical drives. Thanks too for the OS+Case package.
