Nexon and MapleStory devs have announced that the second part of the Big Bang game overhaul and expansion will arrive on December 20th. The second part of Big Bang will introduce the two new character classes, Wild Hunter and Battle Mage, as well as a new zone, Edelstein.
With the second Big Bang update installment, players will be able to explore Edelstein, a quiet mining village where the people have a knack for technology. Players will also be invited to join the Resistance and battle as one of the new classes – the Wild Hunter or Battle Mage. The Resistance Class is a new collection of heroes that have banded together to thwart the dark deeds of the Black Wings, a secret cult dedicated to the resurrection of the vile Black Mage.
The Wild Hunter is a ranged character with a jaguar mount, which enables her to move quickly across the battlefield and attack her foes while in motion. The Battle Mage is also a ranged character and makes an excellent party member thanks to his high HP, his beneficial auras and deadly attacks that can hit multiple enemies at once.

Two new overpowered classes? A dedicated buffer? A fast bowman? In Maplestory, one big class balance was that nobody was useless to the party often because of buffs. However, if these dedicated buffs override the other buffs (just like potion buffs override player buffs), it means the balance would be thrown off.
I remember that a big disadvantage of bowmen compared to assassins was that bowmen couldn't move very fast. Without jump-shooting or speed buffs, they were always doomed to smack with a bow once in a while. With this new class, I predict similar skills to bowmen but more speed. Which is kind of unfair, since bowmen had way better AoE than sins.
I thought there were three Resistance classes, where is the Mechanic? I guess he comes out later?
Balls to the game... Site wouldnt even let me look at the home page because I'm from Europe lol
As for dedicated buffer? Not so much since auras are on/off and are not casted like you'd expect of buffs. Auras stack with potion buffs as far as I heard.
And the regular bowmen actually can jumpshot, but it's hard to do. Dunno if Wild Hunter can though.
