Personally I like the look of the game, and even with new Levees is it just going to be another addition to doing the same lev over and over again depending on your level?

I have played it up to level 28 but I just could not stomach another Lev quest after I had done the three variety in different continents over and over.

They need to address a lot more to win back a lot of players....... do they understand really and truly what is wrong?

Take crafting...... as a big crafter but one who is a bit slower maybe than others, it was almost impossible to craft anything to wear at your given level, apart from the odd power gamer who leved rather fast or members of big guilds, crafting was not much of an option, but why? Well I am all for crafting products being important as I am a crafter myself, but what a person can't do it level every craft just to make one item, on our server there were no people making the bits, in the end it became a folly. I like the crafting system, it was ok, different from what I am used to, but to craft a level 3 item such as a boot, needed rubber soles, well in beta cool it was good, but when it went live you could not make that rubber sole without brimstone....... a level 30ish needed to do that (ish not quite sure but around that) making it as a level 3 player impossible to craft that item, so you just went without, most of us were in newbie stuff until you got the very odd leaf drop, in the end I just gave up and purchased off the fast people.

Not really desirable when you are a big crafting fan.

Batlecraft leaves well what  about the fighter, what does he gain apart from pointless cash and armour that is at 0% because there are not the crafters that high to fix his items. He deserves more than a jelly fish umbrella to keep him interested.

I am not sure where they want to be or are with this game, but its nice enough looking, they seriously need to check their combat system, and their ui, both of those were minor annoyance's for me. Crafting and Rewards need to be far more interesting, there is nothing more boring than fighting something to an inch of your life and getting one crystal *yay*!

Anyway I am not the best gamer in the world, but I was hoping to enjoy this, I did but then it got a tedious bore. This of course is my own humble opinion and no do not have answers on what I think they should do, perhaps try to actually make it interesting.

I hope this isn't a part of Square's attempt to revitalize FFXIV and make it more appealing to current and prospective players. All this does, aside from a few new monsters, is add a bunch of the same. I was especially dissapointed to see them recycling exact character models from XI. They're going to have to do a lot more than this to fix XIV.

I agree, they need to add in more 'Storyline' components to the game, Currently you several Storyline missions that start at level triggers (5-10-15 iirc) and then Class missions once you class hits 20.

The problem is there is nothing to do between the storyline mission and level 20, and once you have done it the first time you need to hit 20 for each subsequent Class.

i also Wholly agree about crafting, i have been doing crafting leves to level up as I cannot produce anything myself due to the silly Crafting requirements (that rubber sole one is good example).

Hopefully the new team will look at this kinda stuff adn fix it :)

Multicolored chests? And new guildleves? Gasp! Here I was thinking these updates were trivial rehashes of existing content.

Tedious and screwy crafting system, the copy and paste landscape and quests (leves), the silly repair system, the wacky combat animation, no auction market system, no banks, no housing, all the things needed for a PvM MMO to succeed is not there.

They got my 70 bucks and no more.  I regret wasting my money on it sadly.  At least I learned never ever to pre-order any MMO with the false promise and hope from hype or CGI movies that a MMO will be a keeper.  Guess I have to thank SE for that.

Funny I was just talking to my friend who plays this game this morning.  She has gone back to FFXI because this update does nothing to address the problems that she and her guild find in this game.  She is also a crafter and also thinks the crafting system is horribly broken.

I guess the forums have tons of solutions to the problems, yet the devs seem completely oblivious to fixing the real problems, they just are doing minor fixes that do not address the underlying problems.

I might just be able to forgive some of the problems if the combat worked right. What's the point of even having graphics if the game knows my target is already dead as soon as I click an attack option? Spells, weapon striks, all that stuff, should update on the server when it comes into contact with the mob, not when I think about doing. As it is all the combat is now is just watching life guages go down and heal before the animation for the monsters' attacks go off.

    This ^

Plus XI has been thriving over the last couple months, lots of people coming back, and lots of new content. I'm gonna play XI until they shut it down. Hopefully XIV will get its act together by then and give us the MMO essentials.

I so want this game to do welll since I blew $70 bucks on it.

They should continue to make it free until it is completed and just say they are continuing the beta.

I haven't cancelled my account becasue it is free and I don't even play it. I'm just waiting for an update that will make me want to play it again.
