pls only post if you'v actually logged on in the last week.

Just wandering if they have fixed desync? pls be brutaly honest with this one, i can stand any ammount of buggs but WILL NOT stand desync wile fighting especailly in a full loot game.

made animals any smarter? any (new) reason to pvp or siege keeps? fixed the 120 dex mages? made heavy armors usefull for pvp? have they fixed screen dragging? is there any economy? is there anyone playing? any of the old guilds still active? is Tindrem up yet? is the game it'self any more polished then it was right after the not-so-Epic patch?

i'm getting bored of WoW again (yea i know, didn't take long) and am seriously thinking of paying for a month sub just to see how this game is progressing, but will not do so untill desync is a thing of the past. as i said i dont care how many buggs this game has as long as the fighting is crisp and fluid.

Just wandering if they have fixed desync? pls be brutaly honest with this one, i can stand any ammount of buggs but WILL NOT stand desync wile fighting especailly in a full loot game.

All pvp skirmishes I had were perfect, there was an event fight(lots of mobs and players) and no one complained on lag or desync.

    made animals any smarter?

Well, they don't just stand or run like retards, most fights back, Risars try to run you into group when they have low HP, Kimuru fight was improved, overall a step in right direction, its closer then further to say its good.

any (new) reason to pvp or siege keeps?

Keeps still useless, but many utilities will come to them very soon. New reason to pvp? Well, old ones were good enough for me.

    fixed the 120 dex mages?

Just like they fixed Thu-Khu warriors.

made heavy armors usefull for pvp?

They grant way, way better protection then light armors and after melee changes you NEED heavy armor or you literally implode after 2 hits.

    have they fixed screen dragging?

    Yes.

    is there any economy?

Butchering is a big step in right direction, now all professions need to rely on extractors to proceed and farmers farm way shorter and need to sell carcasses to players instead of NPC, everyone but few so called 'hardcore reds' is happy about where this is going.

is there anyone playing? any of the old guilds still active?

Yes, there is still decent part of old crew and you can everyday meet a couple of newbies and new faces.

     is Tindrem up yet?

Not yet, it will be opened when its perfect, meaning no lags, no troubles in there, living NPC, walking guards I think so still some time before its open, but no one really misses it atm.

is the game it'self any more polished then it was right after the not-so-Epic patch?

Can't really compare it, improved everywhere, still odd crash here and there but no major bugs and you can play fine with no trouble. It was not doing so well as now.

i'm getting bored of WoW again (yea i know, didn't take long) and am seriously thinking of paying for a month sub just to see how this game is progressing, but will not do so untill desync is a thing of the past. as i said i dont care how many buggs this game has as long as the fighting is crisp and fluid.

Well, you should be happy from the changes. Additionaly, Sebastian post this patch is fully devoted to server stability and performance so even more improvements should be seen very soon. If you really want to be sure you can wait until new year, but if I were you I'd resub to try it out one or two days post content patch which we are suppose to get in a matter of days.

That should be it, I played from beta and still play so everything I say is based on comparisons to last months.

I'd agree with Derp's list above.

They still need to make keeps and player towns more worthwhile.  I think they are headed in that direction, but they are not there yet.

I also believe they need to improve the economic framework.  The addtional of butchery was a good improvement to the base economic model, but the actual process of the economy still needs to be improved.

Overall, good answers to your questions above.

    Ah, very cool.

I think that's one other thing to look forward to in general - they have resumed content patching.

From the official MO boards, a post by a long time player (reg date June 2009) -

"As far as I'm concerned the progress is too slow. Even though the "new features pipeline" is ok with me, there are just things that need to be fixed and they don't seem to get enough attention even though people are crying out loud for it. Just to mention a few things that just don't do the job:

Thievery - Combat balance (armor, weapons, classes)

Pets (SV is working on something there but pets stopping at node lines is getting old)

Mounts (there's always something wrong with them, from buggy to duping to balance)

Flagging system (Fledgling flags for example: at first you could steal with them, now you can attack with them (unconfirmed)) -

Lootbags (they disappear still, and now they sometimes drop the wrong carcass)

Synch With one patch something seems to be fixed, the next patch it's broken again. That's not a progress, that's one step forward, two steps back. And that since I joined the game."

Any discussion on desync is also closed since SV believes it was fixed months ago -

So if desync was your main issue, might want to pass.

My personal opinion is that SV does not have the ability to fix MO, despite the game's potential. Sadly, you cannot play (or run a company) on potential and that is why SV is nearing bankruptcy.

Thanks for the research, but OP asked for input from people that have played the game in the last week... you haven't played for months.

In my limitted pvp experience since the last big patch, I haven't had any desync (well, really we're talking about lag/ delay, but you know what I mean), everything seemed pretty smooth to me. Again I don't pvp as much as others, but I certainly have more experience then the guy above me has had recently.

The poster I am quoting still plays, so why are you ignoring his opinion? I didn't say they were my opinions on the game. Don't shoot the messanger :)

Can you answer his points? They are perfectly valid comments from a current, long term, subscriber, ie exactly what the OP was looking for. Simply ignoring his concerns won't make them go away.

I addressed his biggest concern as honestly as I could utilizing first-hand experience.  You found the most negative post you could and regurgitated it, without knowing or caring whether or not it was true or applicable.
