in Rift

I'm really curious why so many people here bash all new mmo's. So what does everyone here play?  Since everything is "theme park" or "sand box" or whatever new term there is to use in your complaining rants.

    they're playing the game they bash, come here and bash it, get back on the game, die, bash it on here a little, buy it at release, play it for a few months and bash it because it wasted their time.  or they just play wow.

    WoW = Themepark

    Darkfall = Sandbox

    2 quality games although completely the opposite of each other.

     

    People are not complaining about Rift because is casual, but because is boring and has no character

    Frankly if Rift would have been more like EQ I would have canceled WoW subscription which is my PvE game placeholder.

    But there is no chance I am gonna play Rift instead of  WoW

    Waiting for GW2 now and maybe Everquest Next if SoE wakes up and decides to go back to its root and revolutionize the MMO industry making a decent successor of EQ

    I'm playing EQ2 and LoTRO.  EQ2 for grouping and raiding, LoTRO for world and immersion.  Hoping Rift can replace EQ2.  So far the combat needs work, but otherwise is fun.

    Nothing right now since my vid card just burnt out. But before that, Anarchy Online, Fallen Earth, World of warcraft.

    AO: Only decent sci-fi mmo out there atm, Been dying for a good space mmo, Eve doesn't do it for me, it has virtually no gameplay and I'm not intersted in a excel spreadsheet minigame.

    Fallen Earth: Its a tad diffrent than most mmo's, Does need some work still though.

    World of Warcraft: Gameplay is not too bad, community sucks, "endgame" is totally pointless since its just more progression and not a true endgame, No real point to raiding since it just leads more more raiding and nothing else. Leveling up is fun though XD

It's like an army of 10 sports games made about same sports, and barely none about other sports.
