Me and a m8 of mine were in town doing some xmas shopping a couple of weeks ago. When my m8 decided he wanted to get Aion, tried talking me into getting it with him, but i said no. Will see what it is like first. So he bought it (all in 1).
Anyways, imagine my shock when after he had installed the game he then had to subscribe and also pay for a month before he even got anywhere, i mean come on, most games have you having to make a account but they never charge you for a month untill the fre 30 days have elapsed. Now he has an account paid upto sometime in Feb, he has not cancelled his account yet, i am wondering if he will get a change again with 30 days play left?
Has anypne else had this or is it the thing with this game? For this reason i am not going to bother with the game myself.

Hey, if he bought box version, there should be 2 dvds, some guide book in your native language and a card with 30 day play time code (you must scrtch it to see code) . Or at least I had it in my box.
Yes, that is what i am saying, scratched the card inputted the code, got the 30 days but still had to purchase a month playtime before able to continue. Have 2 months playtime.
I was wondering if anyone else had this problem occur before?
They usually don't charge your card until the trial month runs out. I usually subscribe, put in my card info, then cancel my account right away so it doesn't charge my card once the free month is up. Not sure if Aion works the same way but most MMO's do.
aye thats what we both usually do on other games, but Aion seems to be differant. Ahh well, unless i have it bought as a gift i wont be purchasing it myself because of this fact.
I didn't have this problem with Aion. Got my free first month, ended up canceling before the free month was up, and never paid more than the box price.
All I can advice you is to ask on Aion official forum (I haven't put the code yet waiting till new year, cause I have no time atm )
I'm really tempted to say: YOU FAIL.
Aion is no different from others.
You get your 30-days free with the game (and I got another 30-days when bought the Assault on Balaurea from Steam christmas sale. Yes I bought a free expansion, but only because I got a month for half the normal sub price).
I don't know how your friend managed to mess it up, but he did.
