in Everquest II
OK, I just got everquest 2 from a Friend, and It was Great, installed it, and Such, he gave it to me for Christmas, And I went to the Sign up, Put in the Code, And then it says I need To Subscribe... So I cant Play becuase I dont have a Credit Card or a Game Card(and No way of getting either)
Will my 30 Day Trial Run out? All I did was put in the Code like it said. and then Now I cant play the game Cuz I cant Subscribe, BUT i do have the 30 Day Trial, Anyway I can Use this without Subscribing? And If I dont use it, Will it Run out? Even tho I never played...

So My Trial IS going to Run out? And there is NOTHING i can Do about it, and i cant play beucase it didn't tell me before i put in the code that the Trial would run out and i NEEd a Game Card of Credit Card to Use the Trial?(if it did, i dont Recall seeing it, but ok)

Is the Trial Going to Start its "Timer" when I subscribe?
Either way, Im Still Sad
Well, for me there was a third option: payment through a third party called GlobalCollect. But maybe I got that option because I have the European version and live there to. Another option worth trying is to put in a bogus credit card number (you may have to look up on the number generators). Normally the system won't even try to check it untill it's time to pay for continued subscribtion...

I would say that your free trial won't start until you actually subscribe, since that is when you would create an account (station name and what have you) and then that is how they would track your cd key and start your days counter. So....if you have NOT entered a cd key anywhere...or not created an account, I would say that your free trial is still safe and sitting at 30 days.
I also don't like...know anything. These are all just wild guesses and basic assumptions. That's the only way it makes sense to me though. Any other way and it would seem to me that you're getting ripped off.

Thats The Bad part... I used an exsisting station Account... AND RIGHT after i logged in, It Said "Enter Account Key!" So i did that, Thinking everything was Great, And then BAM! "login" BAM "You must Subscribe" and I said NOOOOO!
Anyways, I doubt SOE will do anything, But if they Could like make it so I could play.. I would Scream(in a Good way) Anyways, I hope the Trial Is Still there by the time i get a Game Card(probably in like 5 months though, im young, I have no money) anyways, I hope its still there...

If someone ''subscribe'' and cancel a short moment after, you still can play for your 30 free trial period. So dad could subscribe for you on day 1 and cancel shortly after(day 3 maybe just to make sure the system have time to allow it). (maybe you can convince dad that you will give him the monthlee fees and so he can subscribe for you in the long run)
A time card is an option, but it is expensive IMO.
I used to have no credit card, then 1 day they offer a gift with a visa credit card, and I was thinking it was a nice gift for my sweaty half(eh, I was barely older then a teen), so I take it for the gift...it must have remain in dust and I forget it until I start playing EQ! Hehe. Visa is the best credit card for the sellers, this is why I stick with it...American Express should be banned, they are evil greedy bastards(or so say my boss hehe, never really care for air miles myself, and Visa benefit are always simple and directs(like 1 free winner every day that see his buy repaid)).

If you created an account and entered a key code, I think your days are ticking. Sorry dude. That doesn't mean they ARE, but I think it would be best for you if you just assume that they are, and if for some reason those 30 days are still waiting for you when you do get a way to play, it'll be a good thing.
But yeah, I am definately thinking they are ticking away.

I dont know for EQ online adventure.
I cancel within a week for EQ2 and WoW and they didnt charge me a month so far. It would be very poor marketing to charge a month, but again, I dont really know, but if I see they charge a month when I didnt even finish the free trial, then I will have a golden reason to spam my unhappiness on the boards.
Not to mention that I will refuse to pay it, and I dont mind to bring them to court if they want to press the issue, Visa know better then to argue with me over like $20 when I am right.
I didnt put a physical signature, didnt use any benefit from any service, I will win easily(the joy of internet buying), but again, most peoples will not care and just accept to pay. I dont know how SoE and Visa will deal with each other on this, and neither do I care, but I am pretty certain Visa have the big stick there!

Anyways i have the WORST luck ever,
My Brother, Subscribed for me, thats good I was happy all day at school, waiting to paly
I cant home, ask my Brother how is was, he said "You need a better Video Card"
I haven't needed a new/Better video card for a long time, and I can Run, Doom 3 and all that stuff, I mean I know its not the best video card (geforce 4 MX 440) but it can run alot... I thought EQ2 Would be One of the things it could run, Slow, But Still Run it....
Watch, ill get a new video Card and then Something bad will happen, 30 days Run out possibly.. It says i need a Card that can use 4 Texture Units, or something like that.. Im Sad again..
