ipod iphone and ipad zre a rip off you can get a a iphone looklike with a tv and antenna with slots for two sims cards and not one for $100 dollars from china and i know that cos my father bought one last year and it works perfect

Yea, the point of crappy Chinese knockoffs is that they are generally much cheaper than the products they knock off. The major difference is in quality.
nope the quality is mutch better in the chinese products my father i got around an iphone and it is way worse that the phone my friend bought - you know the majory of people cannot custom build and steve jobs makes products a little better becuase idiots go and buy them although apple has the techonolgy to build the ultimate phone - why it does not do it?
people buy the ipad to show off and after a month is in the rubish bin - i will never buy an apple product
These products are cheap. Not just in cost, but in build and component quality. Also you have to remember that these products do not offer a way to upgrade the software. So if your phone comes with buggy software, you will always have buggy software. So basically what happens is you usually end up having to buy a couple of these phones, plus the cost of shipping, time w/o having a phone, etc, the name brand product is the least expensive way to go.

The chinese ipod ripoff does not have the same features and is really a pain to use in general. The UI looks the same but is not really good. :S
Finally it comes down to the end user to choose between this. If you can[object Window]t differentiate between the quality build, features etc, better get the cheaper one.
(The same as for people buyin LED/LCD tvs: If you can[object Window]t spot the difference, why buy the more expensive one???)

I think he does man. These corporations are all outsourcing their production to countries like china because they can pay them peanuts and they will do the work that an american wouldn't consider doing for that kind of pay.
Is the quality better? Yea, I am sure it is, you get a warranty aswell... Is it worth it ? TBH no it's not because they are taking jobs away that should be American jobs.
It's an american company , why the fuck are they giving jobs away to third world countries instead of helping out the people here at home? It's all about the money. Fuck steve jobs and other greedy corporations that are outsourcing our jobs to save a profit.

Considering that Apple pays over $100 in parts/labor ( google for plenty of sources ) for each iPhone they make, I'm sure the $100 knock-off is no where near as good if you compare pure hardware. This alone voids this thread whether or not you like the knock-off phone better or not since it's an oppinion. Not saying that your oppinion doesn't matter, it just doesn't mean Jobs is laughing at anyone or ripping them off.
P.S. I am not a Apple Fanboy or anything, in fact I am a Android Fanboy.

Well I personally don't have a problem with anyone wanting to buy knock off versions of products but you should remember a few things, corners will have been cut to make that product you purchase like it or not. Maybe you'll get lucky and be one of the few to get an actual fully functioning unit but if not tough luck.
I recall a few years back a chinese company was selling a childrens product that got hot over here in the states (if I remember right they were called aqua dots) and the cheap formula the chinese company was using to make the little glowing dots turned out to be a chemical equivalent to the street drug excstacy.
If you buy products from China be careful but you may want to forgo buying childrens products all together.
but yeah, to call this game Fantastic is like calling Twilight the Godfather of vampire movies....

I'm sorry but suggesting in an economic decline to buy foreign just seems irrational. Not only does it hurt the local economy but honestly it encourages outsourcing, child labour, and cost cutting at the expense of safety.
Horrible idea.
It's the fact that they are outsourcing jobs that should be american jobs. It's an american company, it can thank this country that it is around today, yet they are sending their production lines to chinese workers and factories, which in all honesty amounts to nothing more than slave labour.

I certianly hope so. You realize a vast majority of their workers are what the rest of the world calls children. They call them profitable wage earners.

I don't think the corporate heads innocent in this but the problem is they created a system hand in hand with government officials to make the environment conducive to this type of business. Until we actually do something about the laws that reward companies for this type of business the idea behind boycotting companies for it is pretty pointless.

I'd love to see the US get all the jobs especially during these tough times, but It's a catch 22 since not nearly as many people would buy iPhones if they were made(part construction and assembly) in America because the cost would most likely be more than double. The company still provides many US jobs that wouldn't be around if they stopped outsourcing production.

This is true. Apple does have quite a few employees here in the US... I really don't like the idea of cheap labor, go overseas and take advantage of third world people, while at the same time screwing potential employees.
I don't like it, steve jobs and his company are probably more than happy with large annual profits.. Probably in the 100 of millions to billions. Who knows, Could be alot less than I think, but I am sure he is sitting lovely right now. Making huge unnecessary profits at the cost of our country and the exploitation of workers in other countries.
