There has YET to EVER be a MMO that has launched complete. The reason being is that a MMO is never complete. The day the game is considered complete its getting ready to close down. There WILL ALWAYS be things to improve upon, things to add to the game, ect. If you want a complete game then you goto a different genre then MMO's. MMO's are evolving beasts that continuely change based upon what the market wants.

As far as endgame goes. Show me a game that doesnt involve PVE Raiding, PVE Repping or PVP as endgame. There are really very FEW options when it comes to endgame. The whole Rifting / Dynamic world is a interesting ideal. Until you see it in action and realize its really nothing more then a PQ that triggers every so often at set static points. One could argue that, that is all Rifting is. That is going to get old real quick for alot of people after you have done it for several days. There is really nothing dynamic about it.

Rift promises alot of things but in reality is not delievering much of anything. It doesnt bring a single NEW ideal to the market and it sure doesnt run or look better then most other MMO's out there. Like myself and several of my guildees say. If this game had came out back in 2000 then it would stand a real chance. But in todays market its going to be spin the drain really fast and be eatten by the bigger fish that bring new features, polished ideals, and continue to push the market.

Thomas name one thing that rift promised that they have no delieverd on?  Everything they said that would be in the game is there.  They promised that the system would be based on all the best aspects of most the mmos combined into this game.   As to the graphics its better then most the mmo's out there.   the art style is great, the details great.  Its not AoC graphically but that art style does not suite this game.  Its better then warhammer, wow, Lotro, Vanguard and most the others so how does it fail graphically?  If you have a highend system and run on ultra the game looks amazing.low - mid I would agree with your statement.    As to bigger fish who is coming out with a high fantasy to compete?  Tera I think not, its another grinder Korean game (Aion mixed with firstperson Darkfall both failed)  Guild wars 2 may have some support but we wilol have to see what they have to deliever come beta where at least Trion has not failed on any delievery yet.   The game has all the content done to end game, that does not mean they have to stop producing more, or adding.  But for all the quests and systems they are compelete.   Tweaking is still being done during the Beta based on our feedback, the only thing holding them back from release is final testing which is happening now :)

As to the rifts they are like PQ's but random.   Point is if you did nothing to stop the rifts they would take over the whole zone and increase in power.  Not sure if you played Horizons , works on the same priciple where you could end up pushed all the way back to the starter zones of they got too out of hand.  look at the event where Sanctum fell lol... they had to restart the server because of it.   The titan's took over.    the idea is your world is being taken over and you have to do something or lose it.

Since no one is going to give the OP a run down of Rifts endgame I will. Sheesh he asks a question and you all go crazy. Talk about overreacting.

Anyways this is what endgame of Rift is about:

Since there are 10 dungeons leveling up these dungeons turn into expert dungeons at max. 5 of them will be T1 expert dungeons and 5 of them T2 expert dungeon.

After that there are raids which are split 10man/20man.

Then there are Raid Rifts which require a raid to do and complete.

On the PvP front I think for the moment its the Warfront stuff all the way to max and at max.

See, was that so hard the rest of you?
