really am thniking of getting GW, the trial isn't really long enough to experience enough of the game so, have a few questions
*pve and pvp world/servers, do most players play on pvp servers or is it more of "log in make a pvp char kill some peeps for fun then log off" or is it where most players spend there time?
*pve servers themselfs, still have all the pvp functions ect? i'm just tring to see if pvp servers is more of a "do it for some fun without the leveling" kind of thing or do most top guilds ect do pvp servers.
*healing tanking ect, i didn't check much about most classes besides ranger but, is there any kind of tanking involved in pvp or pve? do you need a tank for instances ect or just more zerg it down?
*healing in group pvp, is it needed? i've played alot of DPS classes and wanted to try a support or healer class in GW just wondering is there "strong" healing classes as in, someone who sits back and tries to avoid all CC/dmg and keep everyone up?
*money ingame what is it used for? may seem like a stupid question but considering (from what i've heard) gear isn't that important, so what else is there that you need to purchase?
if you have any other information about guild wars i'm all ears, just tring to find alot about the game before i purchase it, thanks for reading.:D

Arenasb, u can also unlock any skill and equipment with your PvP characters using faction points. You gain faction points by fighting in PvP (anything from random arenas to gvgs), so it is not hard to unlock a certain build at first, but there is plenty to unlock. Also these unlocked skills and equipments will be available only for your PvP characters. Note that gaining a skill in PvE will automatically unlock it to PvP, but it won't function the other way around.
OP, to me the definition of Guild Wars is: a very good cooperative rpg with competitive-professional pvp. It is a very good cooperative rpg (and not a true mmo) because PvE is heavily instanced; u can solo-henchmen good part of the game, but some dungeons will require grouping though; players are there if you are not in the mood to solo; it has a good story like any single player game; but it has little replayability, PvE is definitely not the strong part of GW.
Now, the PvP is definitely a masterpiece (used to be anyways, from time to time i hear complaining of imbalance nowadays). The modes of PvP are very well structured and combat is very good, there are plenty of strategies to go due to the "dual class + limited bar system" and some landscape mechanics, player skill and teamplay are definitely a major thing here.
With the price they are charging these days, I'd definitely say go buy it OP. You can catch up with the GW lore and get some stuff in the hall of honor for GW2, I guarantee the PvE experience will be at least enjoyable (Factions is the best to me) and the PvP is always a comeback factor since there is no fee after all (join a good Guild to enjoy the PvP at its best).
Playing: Starcraft II.
Played: Tibia, Ragnarok Online, Ultima Online, Guild Wars, World of Warcraft.
Wanna play: Guild Wars 2, SW:TOR, Final Fantasy XIV, Diablo III.
I think Guildwars is the game that have given me most for my money, it is fun and a lot harder compared to most other games right now. It is however a CORPG and have a lot of action games like Diablo in it as well so if you expect a game close to Wow and EQ you might be disappointed.
Still, well written campaigns, good AI and a lot of content, GW platinum is a goo deal. I been playing it for years, mostly PvE but some PvP as well.
True, I forgot to mention about faction points. My main point was to say that pve and pvp are separate though.
thanks for the awesome replys guys, just got another trial as my other one ran out this time tring a monk, checked steam price and its only £20 for GW:Tril 0,0
